Need help, possible defiency?

Everything is green on that plant, except the parts that are BURNED..... 2 weeks old? Happy Frog? It's a VERY hot soil, I'm putting money on improperly balanced ph..... And or heavily nutrieated soil

if it was deficient the overall general health of the plant would be much paler in color, IMO.

also, the soil looks compacted a bit and a bit overwatered?

i cant see how there could be that much nute burn from soil mixed with pearlite and no nutrients yet. And as for ph, happy frog is a staple, i couldnt see how it could ph that far away from where its supposed to be at or there wouldnt be pallets of the stuff in the store.

I just picked up some Happy Frog yesterday, was talking to the guy, even he said "don't feed for the first month". It's not deficient. It's being locked out. Probably to acidic, so adding lime would seemingly also add cal/mag, but, the case is that, it's PH, making it too acidic from the rotting hummus, overwatering and soil compaction.

we also have a complete lack of information, so it will be easy to disagree on speculation. I could be wrong and have been wrong before, I just don't think so in this case, based upon the info given, which is severely lacking.

I use ffof and i was under the impression that ffof is more nutrient rich than happy frog. Im pretty sure. I never feed my plants more than bennies until flower. I just keep transplanting and giveing em more dirt to eat through. Ive started plenty of seeds in it and use it on all my clones and ive never seen burn from soil like that. Agreed on the lack of information causing chaos. Crap shoot.

You are absolutely correct there Alien, Happy Frog is more of a bean starter mix, where as the Ocean Forest is more a mature vegging soil and yes rich in nutrients...it's not a lockout cuz at that color it would have dark crispy spots on it...it's a lack of a high in Nitrogen diet which is essential to big healthy green leaves and ultimately big healthy buds...good luck OP...

Give up some details so we have more to work with than a picture and a soil name. Light type, burgertime wants to know ph, height of lights above plant, feeding schedule if any yet, temps in room, is it sitting right infront of a fan? An ac? A heater? Did you pack the soil in there? What are you adding if anything? Are you spraying the leaves? Are you running 24/0 or 18/6? Did you put anything in with the happy froglike lime or any other ammendments? How often do you water and how do you tell when its watering time? Answer those questions and you might get an answer. It usually boils down to grower error and not some flaw in the plant or dirt which means that your doing somthing wrong, now you have to find out what your doing wrong before it can get better.

Not to be a dick, but if you guys are looking for a problem to tackle and you're not getting answers here, head on over to my post "ballpark estimate on harvest" where I always provide pictures and as much infonas is asked for. Head on over today for a look at some purple leaves!! ( I realize this is a totally uncool thing to do, but you all seem eager to help someone, and I haven't gotten any answers just yet.... sorry.... peace and love... peace and Love....)

Those spots are salt burn from salt build up in the soil and in turn the plant cant take up nutes. Flush with 6.5 water with runoff for 1-2 mins. Try to repot into a coco mix .

Ok I think this one guy was right, it was a lockout if he means the roots were root bound. I also think I have a cal/mag defency, I did some trimming I got those big dark spots that one guy said about and I think that meant that part of the plant was dying. I trimmed off the dead leafs and it has responded well so far. Also had a light feeding of Epsom salts and is looking better, just put my scrog up and soon will start a flowering diet for them as soon as I can determine sex.

Lock out and root bound are two different things but they can both lead to the same symptoms!
fact for you to know
