okay so no matter how much i hook up the power strip breaker should kick before a fire would start right?? and also when i bought my hydro setup i bought botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow and Pure Blend Pro Bloom, the guy at the hydro shop showed me a feeding schedule in the back of his 2010 hydrofarm retail catalog and told me to follow it. now i know that if i follow the directions on the bottle i'll prob end up burning and killing my plants but i was just looking at the catalog and it very similarly to what the bottle says (7.5ml/gallon starting off) with the exception that the catalog only says to use one nutrient at a time(instead of both on each watering). so do you think it is safe for me to follow the feeding schedule in my catalog without burning or killing my plants?
I would probably do it the old fashion way and start off with a dilluted solution...

can veg chems go bad...?
my last 3 runs of clones, have no vertical growth, and start popin hairs within 10 days, im runnin 24hr light, and its the same set up ive used for a year with great sucsess.
the only thing that has changed is the veg a+b. its some a buddy gave me to try when i first stared over a year ago, and who knows how long he had it.
im thinkin maybe the chems are bad, shock the clones, and naturaly plants try to flower when shocked....?

fyi its not a auto flower strain.....
If it only started happening when you got the new nutes, they're most likely the problem, go back on the old nutes you were using and see what happens...

What would be the result of taking too much off the new growth using the FIM method? Uncle bens thread says to take about 80% of the new growth, but what if you took it all? just wondering.

I usually shoot for 6.3 as that is what my nutes say is the "ideal" PH range for nutrient uptake. I personally don't think a point or two is a big deal, anywhere between 6 an 7 is usually fine, but try and stay to the 6 end of the spectrum. Soil or hydro also makes a difference, some hydro users go below 6.
