Hey, I recently started growing for my first time, and its been about a week since my babies have sprouted. I decided to go cheap and buy Miracle Grow moisture control and I'm now thinking it was a mistake and want to switch my plants into a Fox farm/perlite mix. So my question is when is a good time to transplant them to the new soil, and how would I go about doing it since I dont want to damage the roots. These plants are like my CHILDREN and want to take excellent care of them. Haha, thanks a lot.

Hey man,

I had to transplant my sprout too, I found it was fine (at about 1.5 weeks)-- you just have to be extremely delicate with them. However I know foxfarms soil is very good, but with the nutes in the soil, it may be a bit over whelming for such young plants... Frankly I have my sprout in plain, 2$ soil lol and it is loving life. So don't try to feed and nurture your plants too much, over-caring can kill them too lol.

Hopefully that helped ya a bit-- good luck :leaf:

Yeah I guess you're right, I've just been kind of paranoid about the MG soil from all the other forums saying how acidic it is. So far the plants are progressing amazingly, but I mean it's only been a week and a half. I'll probably transplant when there's a few nodes and the seedlings harden out a little bit. Thanks for the reply though man
