Myth Buster in Action

The plant above was grown in MG Moisture Control. AFAIK, MG offers 4 mediums: MC, Organic, Potting Mix, and Seed Starter. I use the Seed Starter fairly regularly for (err...) starting seeds, MC is fine in a pinch (I use Pro-Mix otherwise), Potting Mix is a bit too hot for our needs, and Organic can be very spotty. I'd suggest cutting it with Pro-Mix and a lot of Perlite, if one absolutely must use the medium.

Wow it's amazing what you can do with enough space and 5000 watts. I am very impressed and very jealous. Well done sir, bravo You're giving Miracle Grow a good name. You should hit them up for some sponsorship money.:hump:

Hey Dr remember me? I was getting blasted about using mg and you said you were gonna do this. I just wanted to say thanks my girls are almost done and the mg worked just fine. I would post pics but I think it would be harmful to your point, not because of soil but because of prettymuch every other noob mistake lol. I just wanted to say thanks for putting this bs about mg to rest it is great for first timers as you really don't have to worry much about nutes. Again thanks man.

^Agreed, MG isn't bad at all. Almost every problem I've seen with it, has been caused by the grower, and could've been prevented. I just started a new grow, myself, and if I hadn't had a little bit of FFOF left, it would be straight MG Potting Mix. When I move them to their 5-gallon pots, it'll be straight MG, with a bit of perlite added.

I will be adding MG organic mix into all my grows from now on even tho it has food in it, I like to push the envelope and have bin adding food every watering there showing no signs of burning
i am starting to think the Biggest mistake growers are doing is when they water there adding to much thus releasing to much nutrients
this is my very first grow doing the bottom feeding technique and i am sold on doin this from now on not only do you get strong vigirious growth but your root system really grows working to get at water i still add like a cup of water on top but most of feeding is from bottom.
for any growers in soil just do it and you will be shocked at your results :)

I used a bag of that same Orgranic MG, it came with gnat bugs! So have something ready for that imo.
Just started to read this thread so not sure if this has been pointed out or not yet. But I know of what bugs you are talking about, whenever I got miracle grow and I thought for the longest time they were bad. Were your bugs fast as well, I know mine were and turned out to be soil mites. Which suprisingly enough turns out they are good for the soil breaks stuff down in the soil to make nutrients ready for the plants faster.

Hey guys heres a little update on grow starting day 23 of flower bud sites galore tight goin to be some nice things coming soon :))
let me know what yall think
