my warehouse led bud

It would be very helpful to see a pic of the light hitting the floor (sans plant) and measure with a tape measure at 2ft and 3 feet?

I think what petflora suggested would be very helpful, a quick bit of rough trigonometry with a 60 degree reflector the main coverage area should be about 27" diameter at 24" high and 41" diameter at 36" high, but I think that due to the dimpled reflector It could be slightly off.
Thanks andy.

cbd it produces very little heat or at least it dissipates it very well. you can touch those heat sinks all day long. the reflector stays cool to. if you put your hand directly under the light it does have a bit of heat to it but nothing like hps.
Thanks for your info. I can use a little bit of heat in my tent so this light might be perfect for me. I love the look of this light. I may have to get one and see for myself.

so i bought a warehouse led 2700k cree led. the light is used for warehouses and gyms. 200 watts over a single plant. grown in roots organic soil. i am stunned at the results. i use cal mag, protekt, foliage pro, and some seaweed. couldnt be any cheaper or easier. i yielded .8 grams per watt and my next round should be even more now that i am use to the light. i kept the plant small because i didnt think it would penetrate the canopy as much as it did. i have been using leds for over 2 years now and wanted to experiment with something that was not marketed to the canna community. it paid off

that's a huge led bud bro... ive seen plenty of good rsults from leds and also plenty of mediocre ones... im not sure im all the way sold on leds yet..

An with the size of the reflector we got 43" diameter at 24" High.

Andy's math is right for a Point-source, but this light is a multipoint-Source so widest distance betwenn LEDs goes into the calculation
Or in this Case the Diameter of the reflector

It's hard to do the math with Chinese Watts...

Good spot Guod. Your correct the angle I should of used is larger than 30 degrees due to the diameter of the led. I would also think your correct with the maximum coverage being about 43" but I still think the main coverage area (highest intensity) would be around 30" and the intensity decreasing gradually between those 2 distances. If im wrong just say as I wouldn't want to misinform anyone.
Thanks andy.

i dont have any fancy meters just one of those candlelight meters. the lower reading is the highest reading i could get directly under a 1000 hps using a luxor hood. the higher reading is the highest reading i could get from the led. i also inserted a pic of what the plant looks like today. i asked for a spectral chart before i got the light and never got one. i am not convinced about all the reds and blues that all these mmj led light say we need. this led certainly looks very white to the naked eye. i have 7 blackstar chromes and have never had results like this with the same wattage over a single plant.

Looking great.

Looking at your leafs, it seems the light spectrum is just a touch out of the 'ideal' for mj. If you can, add a small NW or CW ~ 10w A 19 led globe, and watch the leafs start reaching up towards it.

i have THUMB envy, it has been a while since i had such a resinous digit!

nice job, that light is a beast, looks a cross between hid and led

the light is no cross. its all led. it just has a reflector hood. i am seriously considering there 300 watt model if this next round goes as well as the last.

IMHO you are better off with multiple smaller panels, thus creating more and broader high intensity. Example: 2 @ 150w in a 2 x 4 area as opposed to one 300w will double the amount of canopy intensity

i agree. my goal is to replace my 1000 watt hps with multiple units. i have been able to match watt for watt with leds compared to my hps. i currently have 7 blackstar chromes and they do a good job. this gielight is just doing a better job for less money. my thought is possibly 4x300 watt leds over a 4x4 area. this should toast the 1000 watt hps in theory. this next round will tell the truth. with leds i have always had to do more plants that are smaller in height because of penetration issues. this round i went a bit taller to see what this light is capable of doing. so far so awesome

ghb i have an elf trimmer that gets to keep all the candy that sticks to her gloves. usually gets about 4 grams of finger hash off 4 plants without trying. happy elf
