My thoughts on the 2016 US presidential election

I understand everybody's apprehension with trump.I'm apprehensive as well. I plan on doing the same thing as if hillary was voted in.Keep working and providing for me and my own,one day at a time.I'm not going to give up because of who our president is.some already have, and it will be a long 4 years for them.
Huh? Isn't it the same number of days regardless of how you feel about the president? Doesn't everybody live one day (or hour or minute or second, etc) at a time?

Just kidding. I'm guessing that patience with him might end in 2018 if he doesn't perform well and he will be gifted with a Congress that is every bit as obstructionist as the Republican Congress was for Obama. Unlike our treasonous Republican leaders of 2009, I don't hope Trump fails and I don't want to see our government grind to a halt in a political vendetta. I just think Trump doesn't have what it takes to be a good prez. That's all.

But still, people who are naturally happy types will be so regardless of what they think of the president. Same with gloomy gussies. If he drags us into a war, then, yeah time will drag on. Like it did during the Iraq war years.

How would you all feel about having a thousand regulations to grow your weed, that's how small businesses companies and corporations feel about over the top government regulation... think about it...?

Democrats are displaying their true colors and it's beyond pathetic or sad.
Obama's administration went against everything republicans wanted.
Yet when Obama won the election republicans didn't cry protest and riot and make threats like 5yo children...
They sucked it up did what they could to keep their party's interest while reluctantly working with his administration where they could.
I personally didn't like any of the candidates in the race at the least, they are all without a doubt horrible in their own way.
But I'm honestly not nearly as concerned with their agendas as I am with the American people that are acting this way all fueled by their own speculations and theories of impending doom...
With the American people acting like this... I think the president is the least of our concerns right now.
The things I've seen in the past few days from democrats has been beyond disgusting... these idiots are a disgrace to our country and humanity.

If you'll notice, the most outspoken calls for Hillary to be unlawfully given the presidency are coming from young people and celebrities. And I can think of no people less qualified to make any important decision than young people and celebrities.

There is no way in hell the Electoral College will give Hillary the presidency. The main reason these people were elected to the college in the first place was because they are extremely loyal and inspired confidence that they will vote as their respective states vote.

And besides that, if you think a Trump victory was ugly in terms of riots, imagine what would happen if Hillary was unlawfully given the presidency. Trumps supporters wouldn't stop at mere riots - their reaction would morph into a revolution. And justifiably so.

I'm a leftist, of the sort who sees Shillary in her rightful place as a conservative in Democrat's clothing. Yet I agree with this. The rule of law means something, so if we don't like the outcomes, it's time to change the laws! And that takes electing people.

A few bracing years of oligo-fascist rule will stiffen their resolve nicely! It is not even the first time I said this; last year I said that if they nominated Clinton instead of Bernie, they'd lose. Right here in this forum, in fact.

Minimum wage, safety and environmental are inconvenient necessities.

In other words, tough shit!
Strange, legal facilities comply with all these regs just fine right now.

I had a sales rep visit from down south (from Maine I think) and we started talking about the tanking of HVAC sales. I, not realizing the strong emotional response politics raise down there (not so much here lol), mentioned the possibility people may be worried about things to come due to the election of Trump. I said the guy just needs to shut the fuck up and stop saying stupid shit (him and his inner circle....Spencer lol). He actually said that was Trumps strategy and was meant to throw everyone off regarding his real intensions regarding policy. Really??? His intension is to look stupid to carry out an intelligent course of action???? I like the guy (rep) so just kind of agreed that yes that was a possibility but really??? Am I wrong in thinking that was just a real stupid theory and that in actual fact Trump and his troupe have no clue what the hell their doing? And nope China is not a currency manipulator but they certainly have gotten good at manipulating someone lol.

Sad that folks can't treat each other with dignity and respect based solely on their political beliefs. It is an absolute shame. Nothing but hate, disrespecting and name calling to get your point across; like somehow that is going to drive your point home....LMAO!
The measure of your knowledge and viewpoint on politics is not based off of how much you can verbally abuse someone or how immature you act. I have a whole list of ignored members on here.
Folks that cannot communicate their point without name calling, degrading and disrespecting those that may not agree with them. That kind of mouthing off and behavior is really useless to their cause. No one ever takes them serious...lol
