*This is for informational purposes only!!*

I decided 2 start this little journal, after weeks of deciding whether or not i'd like to put this much info up the internet but hey.. i'm doing it! I have been successful so far and I am currently on Day 15 of the veg stage using only bagseed! I have my eye on a few strains such as...

aurora indica
blue mystic
rasberry cough
durban poison
hollands hope
genesha's dream
trainwreck
mango
blueberry

But before i go blowing a bunch of money i really dont have to spend right now, I decided to take a few practice rounds with regular bagseed to make sure i am capable of growing a better strain that will cost me $!!!! So thats the introduction and here we go!

*All plants were started at the same time under the same artificial environment*

The model shots below are my baby girls at 13 Days.. feel free to comment!

#1 Bagseed

Top shot of #1
This plant had spidermites that i quickly notice in the soil so i've been spraying down the plant & soil lighty with a homemade, 2 eye-dropper drops of dishwahing soap & 1-Liter of pH balanced(6.6) tap water(of course i let the tap water sit out for 24 hours, in an bottle that was left open so the chlorine & other chemicals evaporated out of the water). I repeated this step several times & think its under complete control now!
The second problem i noticed was that the first set of sun leaves that grew in(rather quickly), were drooping or wilting pretty bad. At first i thought.. maybe i was over-watering. Simple soultion right? So I left that one alone water-wise.
Then i thought... "what if this wilting problem has something to do with the spider-mites crittering through my soil.. Perhaps they got to my plant?!" I had to act quick so i lighty sprayed my spider-mite solution on each leaf of the young seedling to kill anymore of these little bastards! Next i gently rubbed each leaf between two soft, sterile, brand new spunges. This killed wutever mites & their eggs that may have been residing under the leaves.

Plant #2

No pics were taken. This one was placed outside and since has not sprouted. Only one battle lost! That's ok rest in piece my little seedling!!:joint::cry: :peace:

Plant #3

For the most part there is nothing wrong with this plant! Sprouted really healthy, then for a few days the first set of sun leaves seemed to appear a little thin, deformed-looking and stressed. Still healthy though!
I figured again.. maybe a water issue! Layed off the water for a few days and on the third day(05/05/2009) the leaves began to perk up a bit! Not looking so deformed, still thin but could just be the strain as i am not positive on what it is since its random bagseed!
Day 13, not showing signs of anything deterimental to the plants health. Will continue to water every 3 days instead of every 2 days.

Plant #4

Top Shot of #4
Now this little plant is exquisite! It has been my first plant in any grow that hasn't given me a single problem! The first set of sun leaves came in real big and fat... no signs of any defficiencies, bugs or anything else that could be harmful to its health. This is my special student and boy how she's growing so exceptionally!!
Have been watering with pH balanced(6.6) water every 2 days and the plant has been loving every drop of it! I'd imagine this will have a healthier root system than all the rest but only time will answer that!

Ok so that's what i have at Day 13.. I will post another at Day 15(which is today) in a few minutes on this thread, so wait 10 minutes and check back in!

any comments/suggestions/questions are totally welcome! Feel free!:peace: :joint::hump:

yeah i was haveing the same wilting problem with my seedlings, but it was from putting them under an hid light way to early. ive not had a major bug problem yet, im hopeing i dont. but i did have one fruit fly one day then the next day i had a huge wolf spider in the box who i think ate the fly then i took the spider and set it free outside.

OK! Day 15 and this is what im currently working with! Check it out everyone....

Still maintaining the same artificial environment, nothing has changed:

18 hours of light/6 hours of darkness
watering with pH balanced(6.6) water every 2 - 3 days
68 degrees fan off
63 degrees fan on
50% humidity

Overall Shot of Everything

Plant #1

So she still is growing new sets of sun leaves! The second set! although the plants still seem to be wilting a bit nothing else really seems to be stunting the plant from growing. Maybe she will pull through, the more i watch it grow the more i have a feeling its some kind of a stress-related issue.
Starved it from water for a couple days, gave it a little more, closer light. Hopefully this will correct the problem. We'll see though...

Plant #3

This is the one plant that IMO looked to be stressed. Well after starving it of water for 2 days, the first and second set of sun leaves began to perk up! This excites me greatly!
She will get water every 2 or 3 days as usual. Plant looks very healthy and ready for it"s new growth! Matter of fact it's already beginning to grow it's third set of sun leaves! She's staying very short(not stretching for the light) but exploding with new leaf development! Yay!!!

Plant #4

She's still looking great! Been watering every 2 days as planned. No signs of wilting or any other problems. First and second set of sun leaves appear healthy and fat still. More new development as the third set of sun leaves appeared today! Staying short with bigger and bigger leaves every 2 days or so!

Ok it's day 18 and things are looking good!

Environment:
6.6pH'ed water in a cereal bowl for moisture
Have not been watered in 2 days
18 Hours Light/6 Hours Dark
Temp is 77 degrees
Fan on medium 24 hours

Updates:
I am currently not flowering any plants so i brought my lights into my veg room. This is the light set-up now;

4 - 23watt(100watt equiv.) Daylight(6500K) Spiral CFL's
3 - 23watt(100watt equiv.) Warm White(2700K) Spiral CFL's

Ok so here we go!!

Plant #1

Just a few days ago I thought it was the end of the road for this plant! The first set of sun leaves had yellow tips that were getting worse from the get-go! I had spider-mites in the soil, took care of that problem! No signs of them left after using 2 drops of liquid dishwashing soap with a liter of water and sprayed the soil and leaves. I also cleaned each leaf carefully to ensure i killed any bugs/eggs on the plant itself! The plant is getting healthier by the day! the third set of sun leaves have come in nice and full. Nothing but positive progress for this little girl!

Plant #3

This one, IMO looked a bit deformed when it first popped itself out of the soil. real thin and was stretching a tiny bit. Moved the light a few inches closer and added some extra light and she's growing like a wildfire now! third set of sun leaves are good and healthy looking. no problems or complaints with this one!

Plant #4

This little girl was looking so much better when she sprouted up! Developing its third set of sun leaves and I am surprised at how large each leaf that has developed has been! the plant looks to be wilting downward a bit... perhaps overwatering? it has already been starved of water for 2 days, I will starve it for one more day then water her again. just wanna make sure I dont rot her roots!
