Ok, it's been 6 days since I changed my light to 18/6 and I see lots of new growth in 6 days. More than the previous 3 weeks. I think I'm on the good way. Look at the pictures:

this is at 3 weeks? man. check my journal, and mine are still small for 3 weeks. you gotta get that light closer to the plant my man, like an inch or 3 away or else you're gonna stretch yoruself to death. just giving my opinion from experience with cfl's

I had the same issue with one of my plants. In my case, I fixed it by adding another fan and used superthrive to get the roots growing. also it looks like your soil isn't absorbing the water. maybe try to fully saturate the soil when you water until it drains. Then wait until the pot feels light. Water again. Can you raise up the pot on something to get it closer to the light. That plant WILL grow man!

Thanks for all your comments and opinions!! Here are a couple of mods I just did... I added a fourth fan to blow inside the grow space directly on the light. I've added some DVD cases to lower my plant. and I watered it a lot.

All comments welcome:

why don't you put a daylight bulb in that other socket too? and when you flower, you can put 2 flowering spectrum bulbs in. i'm flowering mine super short too. i bet they'd fit in your case

These are 42watts CFL bulbs. I tried using 2, but man.... too much heat, temperature was up over 34 celcius... I think it would need too much airflow to handle 2 X 42Watts in there...

You could try using a combo of a 42watt and a 26 or 13 watt bulb. I think the more light you can have in there the better. Also mabye try another computer fan to circulate the air inside the grow area. Just my 2 cents I like the idea and hope the grow goes well.

yeah. i ilke the idea of another, lesser watt bulb. or maybe 2 lesser watts together? look at radio shack. theyve got a bunch of strong ass fans. you could use a weak one for blowing in and just get a strong one to pull the air out.

I think the issue with getting my air out and in are the carbon filters.... I think they are more stopping the air flow than anything. I'll have to find a way to replace them with something else and light proof as well...

I already added a fan in the grow room, look at my pictures. And the case fans I got there... I don't think I get really get stronger. I'll think of something to modify my intake and out... maybe I could place the carbon filters only on the exhaust somewhere else. Anyway, I'll work on this next week and leave myself some time to think about this.

I think I'll stick with the 42 watts for now... I really think there is enough light in there.

I'm happy for now cause I can see it's growing from day to day... but it's not fast still... but I think I'm on the good way for now! ;)
