DIY grow box 2x2, pc fans

Hey Guys.

I have just build a Grow Box 2x2x6 (60x60x180). I need this grow to be secret tho, so i dont have the option to use a noisy ventilator. Therefore, I’d love to hear your opinion/experience with pc fans in such “big” grow box.
I was looking at the Spiderfarmer SF1000, since they produce less heat/watt and use no noisy fans.

I am considering to buy 3 pc fans (2 exhaust w. Carbon filter and 1 intake with mesh/dyst filter). And i have been looking at the Noctua NF-P12 PWM. They have high static pressure, and are very silent (12.6-19 dba)

- Do you think that its possible to grow with these fans in a 2x2x6 box, why, and why not?

Im not really sure if its mostly for environmental control (heat issues) that people say you need big ventilation and such, or its because of the fact that plants absorb the co2 quick?

I read people saying 2 exhaust and 1 intake was stupid, because the exhaust fans would lose much power, but i think that the fans will run pretty similar, since the carbon filter takes at least 25-50% of the power, and i need negative pressure anyway’s to keep smell inside.

And i will ofc. buy a circulating fan to keep lights cool, and prevent mold.

I will also be supplementing with CO2, so higher temps are allowed, and helping my pc fans deliver new CO2.

Negative pressure won't help with smell because you are always venting out and I'm not sure if the plant is going to like negative pressure... Photosynthesis and all. But I'm a newbie so don't take my word for it. Just my 2 cents.

Negative pressure is required for smell control. You dont need a lot, but the sides of your tent should suck in a bit from it.
If you dont have negative pressure, smell will leak out of every tiny hole in the tent.
Nearly everyone not running a sealed room uses negative pressure.

OP, you vent with an environmental controller if youre using co2. Youd just waste it by blowing it right out of your tent with fans on.

Ups, I'm about to finish my cabinet with 2 intakes and 1 exhaust. Gonna have to improvise, adapt, overcome.

Well.. i just finished building most of the box now. I basicly only need to do the venting thing now.
I have sealed the box 99.9% now, and cant spot any light leaks at dark. Cant even hear my circulating fan running at full speed when door is closed.
Just one problem... how will i light proof a 120mm pc fan? I hope there is a way to take 99% of the light through the fans, but i just havent found the right method yet... any ideas?
