My Nirvana Ice Journal

So I ordered 5 fem. beans from Nirvana. The order went fine. No free seeds but it is my first order form Nirvana.

I started germ with a paper towel method. I am only cracking three beans the first run. After 24 hours two showed signs of cracking. After 48 hours the third caught up to the other two.

I placed them in soil. I wrapped the small pots in a plastic bag to keep moisture. I will remove the bag when I can see them.

Now at 72 hours only one is barely showing above the soil. Ill take pics again soon.

Thanks for keeping up with my beans.

Replies welcome.

Here's an update. Looks like they will all be doing fine. Starting to get some green color to them. I expect to see 2 leaves on each one before the weekend is out.

the other pic is just another plant I got from a friend. I don't know the strain for sure but I was told it's White Rhino. Well have to see about that. I do like the leaf structure now that I've upgraded my light. You can see the lower growth suffered from high temps. ans the plant next to it (on the left) was transplanted late so suffered form deficiency. Cant wait to see what this plant has to offer!

UPDATE! Looks like they are coming along nicely. Ill say Nirvana did well, as long as they all turn out to be female.

Ill give them a few more days of growth before another update.

My grow room has a total working height of 7' and that leaves room for lights and equips. Though I do hope for more Indica pheno as my other plant is also very short. Thanks for the advice on nutes. Wow, 3" I would love to see that kind of growth.I also have two more beans left, So might get a different pheno? These three look all the same thus far.

I had them under my 2700k clone bulbs. I'm sure that where the stretch came from. I have moved them under my 6500k shops and that will help take care of the stretch. The were too far from the light also.

Ok bro good luck my friend! I look forward to you posting some nice pic's of some fat ass buds in around 3-4 months! ;)

I forgot to mention that i was also running a single bottle of homemade Co2 thru veg which could have caused the massive growth spurts..

yas just be careful because all of mine were monsters..

Update! Coming along quite nicely. It seems I may have 2 pheno's but I will need more time to be sure. The middle girl is noticeably different than the other two in both leaf size and color. They all look nice though.

The other pics are just eye candy. They are at the beginning of week 5.

Well its time for an update.

I had them under my daylight fluorescence and they grow very tight. I got alomst no vertical growth for a while. I changed my growing plants location to my cfl setup (total of 15 27w cfl's). Of course like everythig does under that light they are stretching but growing 10 times faster. Temp. control in this room has been a n ongoing issue. No bugs, or deficiencies but heat stress has will be an issue for some time in here.

I'm loving this breed so far. I do have to admit the ICE has a very high resistance to heat stress. My other breeds always show significant signs where the ICE only slight curls. I fed them before last transplant, several times and they took it without question. I will be taking clones on this breed soon and then starting to flower. I have noticed a star among them. One of the girls has a veracious appetite.

One month side by side below.

Update, I went in yesterday and notice something on the shortest plant. This plant grows the slowest but also the tightest. See if you can find Waldo. This plant is just over 30 days old with only 18/6 the whole time.

Also updated with general pics of plant health.

I started my weekend off early. Topped all three into clones and started super cropping. It took 3 hrs for the clones to bounce back. My other breeds only take 30min or so. I wont judge them to hard as its their first time. Only one is getting super cropped now. I will start the others in a couple days.

Update: They are doing very well. All three have taken to getting topped. Clones look great with no deficiencies yet. i get all four Dyna-Gro products tomorrow so I will start feeding my soil plants with it. Ill finally get a chance to see how the Ice likes nutes.

On a side note I added a Purple Wreck to my room today. I had a chance to check out a flowering PW and let me say it was perfect, lots of purple and great smell. Should make a wonderful addition to the garden. PW: 8-9 weeks flower from Reserva Privada. Buddy of mine got the hook up. I should be seeing Purple Kush and Sand Widow very soon.

Well, I have decided to give these clones 15 days (or less) and then flower them. I will decide which to keep after a smoke test. I'll keep the seedlings as mothers until then. When a decision is made they will be cut into many clones.

This plant is such a fast vegging breed. There is one in particular (on the right) that grows so ridiculously fast. The clones have all grown and they get tap water only. The side by side clones is (left) first pic and (right) second pic less than 3 days later with nothing but water.

I am starting to notice a small deficiency on the two faster growing plants. The third grows substantialy slower but also much tighter. The side branching stays very close to the main stem. It also looks as though it is a different pheno from the other two. There is a noticeable color and leaf structure difference. I may get two or three different bud/smoke types.

Also I am getting female response from two of three. As they are from fem seeds anything less would be an upset.

I'll update the Ice again in about 2 weeks. The clones should be into dirt by then.

the pics of the broken stem are an attempt to see how the breed takes to super cropping. Well, within 12 hours the stem was upright and the lower growth has not come up. I suspect this particular breed (not Ice) will take to main cola sog well. However it grows slower than the Ice so depending on the final product from Ice I may not keep this breed long term.

The last pic is my new Purple Wreck. Its less than 24 hours into the garden so I'll post another pic of it in about 4 days. I should see new healthy growth by then.

Ok, so I have been feeding these girls Dyna-Gro nutes for a week. I started with 40w daylight flouro's then switched to cfl's. They grow really well under cfl's providing you have enough of them. I am going to flower the clones so these will continue to get bigger until then. I took 3 more clones and am using dirt to see if they like it better.

Awesome man, you're even using the same nutes as I am. Cool, me likey.lol They look nice and healthy, when are you going to flip them to 12/12? I'd say they about ready, unless you're hoping for some monsters. What type of light are you planning to use?

Thank you, I am going to let these three get huge. I have 6 clones now and will bloom 3 of them when they have roots. After smoking those three I will decide which to keep. I use a 1000w MH for flowering. I have a 1000w HPS but I need a longer power cable, its 220v. I have an extra 600w digital (hps or mh) I will use for my new flood/drain table. I'm off to pick up a chronic clone now.

^Ooooh, that should be sweet. I'm seriously thinking about saying screw the electric company and moving up to four 1000's, myself.lol I'm running 1800 watts in a 5' x 6' area, and want to upgrade to 4,000 watts. LOL, Okay, that's probably a bit more heat than I could control. Right now, I have three 400's and a 600, and plan to go with four 600's. I'm thinking that'd do better than two 1000's on a light rail. What do you think?

How big is your grow area? It would be awesome to be able to squeeze that other 1000 in there. Can you say "dense buds"?lol :weed:
