Hello all.....new here.....Just wanted to run my grow rooms by you all and see what you all think......

I have:

6 - xtrasun 1000w switchable remote ballasts
6 - 6" aircooled hoods
1 - Ecoplus 465 CFM Industrial Grade Blower
1 - Valueline 6 Inch 435 CFM Centrifugal Inline Fan
4 - UltraSun 1000W HPS Grow Lamp
2 - Eye 1000W 4200K Universal BT37 Metal Halide Bulb
2 - CAP MLC-4XT 4-Light Controller with Timer
1 - 8 Lamp 6500K 4' T5 Fluorescent Grow Light
1 - CAP 120V 15 Amp On.Off 7 Day Dual Digital Timer
5 - Pedistal fans
1 - 10'w x 24'L x 7'H room - doors on both ends

I am thinking of dividing the room into one 10' x 9' vegging room and one 10' x 15' flowering room. 2 - 1000w MH for veg, 4 - 1000w hps for flowering.

Running one duct from light to light thru the partion to 465 cfm blower to cool the lights for both rooms. And running the 435 to vent the rooms, heat really should'nt be a problem at least for the first couple grows as it is getting to be winter in Montana and I will probably end up having to heat the flower room during the off cycle.

I am going to do organic nutes in promix/perlite, I will be growing several strains and rotating thru . I have another area where I am going to run the 8 x T5 fluoro fixture for mommas, cloning and early veg, i know I will probably have to add some light here or move the mommas to the veg just gotta see how things flow with diff strains growing/flowering diff times etc.

I don't have a CO2 generator yet but will probably be adding one.

Strains, what I have available either in seed or clone from friends, not sure what strains I am going to grow yet tho:p

Jack Herer X Blueberry - fem seeds
Trainwreck - clone
Strawberry Cough - clone
OG Kush - Clone
Blue Moonshine - clone
Master Kush - fem seeds
Royal Haze - fem seeds
Pineapple Express - fem seeds
Carnival - fem seeds
Dinafem Sweet Deep Grapefruit - fem seeds

Yeah even tho its all legal and exposure is not an issue........longer to haul and COOOOOLD outside in January. THANKS your right it def needs a door between rooms. I was going to maybe try to make that wall movable in case I wanted to divide the room more evenly.

Do you guys think I am going to have problems with CO2 availability. 6000W, 40+ larger plants, 435cfm fan - 1680 cubic feet. The fan should clear the room(s) once every 4 minutes or so. I am thinking about adding CO2 ASAP would it be OK to just add it to the flower room or is there a way I can use one generator for both rooms? I am going to make sure the rooms are very air/light tight. We are going to use 4'x8'x2" foil faced insulation panels foil taped on all the seams and corners. This room is basically a porch area on the side of a garage, closed in. I am actually worried about the temps getting too low during the winter. Wow........as I sit here I keep coming up with more questions. The water at the facility comes from a well, even tho I am growing in soil should I have it tested for minerals etc or just go straight for an R.O. Filter?

I have several closet grows under my belt but none this large or with this much accountability.......I am being financed by family :p I don't wanna screw it up and I want to grow the best medicine possible.

Heya MT Farmer,

We are in Corvallis, my sister runs a respite center for disabled adults and is very compassionate to the medical marijuana movement and can see the possibilty to help her patients by way of salves and tinctures.

I am glad to hear that you were able to keep the temps stable through the winter. There isn't any attached source of heat but I plan to insulate it well so hope that the residual heat lasts through the dark period. Really with the way the rooms are set up I can stagger the veg room and flower room timing so that there isn't a time that no lights are on, I am going to use one large recirculation fan to draw through both rooms.

Thanks for the response +rep bradda

Thanks Auzzie, you would love Montana. It is sooooooo beautiful, it is definitely "the last best place" as far as I am concerned. I am just moving back home after 10 years in Tampa Florida and I can't believe it took me so long to get back, living in the city makes me feel like I am dragging an anchor around. It is the friendliest place I have ever lived and most people really enjoy their privacy and respect yours as well. Most people seem to have the philosophy that as long as what your doing doesn't interfere with their pursuit of happiness it is none of their business. Their are always assholes no matter where you go there are just alot less in Montana, and you gotta love a place that has more horses than people, lol :p. Here is the view from my grow room door. :)

Hello All,

Just wanted to drop a couple of pics of our babies in the new Cloning/Propagation/Mother room.

We will have plenty of properly cultivated and cured medicine around the first of the year. Our growing system is designed to ensure we always have a consistent reliable supply of everything on our list, while abiding by the state law with regard to plant counts. We selected the strains we are growing to have a good variety of Indicas, Sativas and Hybrids to ensure we always have something to help our patients with their particular ailment.

Strains we are growing:

Spicy White Devil - Jack Herer x Blueberry, Mostly Indica

Sour Cream - Original Sour Diesel x G13 Haze, Mostly Sativa

Ministry of Cannabis Carnival - 80% Sativa he laboratory test on breeder samples have shown23.2%THC

Dutch Delight - Big Bud x Skunk x Afghani, Indica

Pineapple Express - Indica/Sativa

Master Kush - Hindu Kush x Hindu Kush

Royal Haze - Haze x Northern Lights x Skunk, Mostly Sativa

Sweet Deep Grapefruit - Blueberry x Grapefruit, Mostly Indica

Lemon Skunk - Indica/Sativa

California Hashplant - Hashplant x Northern Lights, indica

Grunk - Grape Ape (Indica) x Skunk#1 (Columbian x Mexican x Afghani)

Purple Cole Trinity - 75% Sativa, 25% Indica - Clone only strain

Phunny Pharm - this is a strain we are growing from a couple seeds we found in an excellent bag of purple buds a few years back. It appears to be mostly indica and just from the growth rate we have seen in the seedlings it seems to have plenty of hybrid vigor and we are excited to see how it turns out

Girl and I talked it through. We're moving to Montana within the next year. Grow is looking great man, I can't wait to see all these strains comes to fruition. Was it hard for you to find patients? When I move out there, one of the main reasons to to grow medicine for those in need, so I'm to find enough patients so I can get at least 48 plants going constantly.

I'm really looking forward to getting out into Big Sky country.

And definitely sub'd for the long haul.

Right now we only have 8 patients and that is by choice. Until we have harvested and cured our first crop and have it available we do not want to take on any patients. It is just myself, my two partners and 5 others that got their cards as a favor, we paid the bill for them. They smoke very little but we saw it necessary add them to insure that we have the headroom in our plant count so that we can maintain mothers and consistently provide our full list of strains at all times.

The biggest downfall I see with other caregivers is they have a great looking list of medicine but they never have more than 2-3 strains available at anytime and it is often fast dried improperly cured and still sold in a black market type setting. Those guys seem to be in it just for the money. I definitely want to make a living at it but It is also in my heart to help people feel better and improve the quality of their lives. We are confident that when the time comes that we are ready to take on new patients our high level of service and the quality of our medicine will set us apart. It is a risk we are willing to take in order to provide the highest quality medicine yanno.

We a collective, we are in the process of finding a several acre piece of property to setup a facility where folks can come and get their medicine, purchase smoking accessories, hang out and medicate in comfort. We are going to setup a lounge area were people can use our vaporizers and glassware. We are going to maintain an on site library, have boardgames, Wii, playstation 3, a dartboard and a pool table. Out back we are going to set up a couple horseshoe pits, corn-hole, a gazebo and a fire-pit. We think it is important to give our patients a place where they can be comfortable and hang with other like minded individuals.

We want them to feel like its their place. Alot of caregivers are setting up shop downtown and thumbing their noses at the chamber of commerce, we respect that this is alternative medicine and know we aren't going to change what 80+ years of prohibition has done to the minds of society overnight. We prefer to be out of site out of mind and of patients would rather have some privacy and discretion as well so we are going to setup away from downtown. I know I'd rather not have the police driving by taking note of who's car is at the dispensary.

We hope to eventually be able to offer things like cooking with cannabis classes, bring in a masseuse etc and have member appreciation gatherings where we bring in bands or I have been a DJ for about 15 years and I could spin some records or have an open mic etc. I am really looking forward to it :p
