Good advice! I spent a month vegging out the plants. I just sexed them from the preflowers. I never switched the light back to force flowering. I took my clones from the first female to show preflowers. Just so happened it was the only true female out of the 6. So it worked out perfectly. So now both tents are filled with clones. :-) I have tried to use different setups in the closet without the tents, but the tents make it possible to have 800W in there. You can pull off miracles in those things with a powerful fan.

There is a video on you tube called "I grow Chronic" I recommend everyone to watch this video. This guy shows you how you want to keep a mother plant alive at all time...and just prune off here and there when you need clones.... I know for a fact that a mother plant will grow back even when cut back as much as 75% .... Just make sure you leave a node and top it.

Anyway... looks great...good luck

I bought my first waterfarm today. Got it all set up and running....Unfortunately I have nothing to put in it just yet. It's a good looking system.

I'm starting a some new seeds today and in about 2 weeks I'm going to be starting a new journal "WaterFarm VS HempyBucket". Obviously it's going to be a comparison of the two, see which is the better system.

Holy shit do those cooltubes work well. I can literally set them as close to the plants as you would flourescents. Hard to ever not use one again after seeing how well they work. Im confident that cooltubes will be the new standard in HID lighting for grow tents. In my experience Im sure part of the reason is because Im working with a 250w bulb as opposed to a 400W bulb. But I can say if you use a 250w cooltube you literally let your plants touch it. The new growth is very impressive, some leaves nearly double in size every 24 hours.

Thx for this post man... I wasnt sure about those... but as soon as i get my dual light set up I would love to get the dual cooltube...

But for right now im not going to just trash my 200$ daystar AC .... this thing is really nice as well... I have seen others that have glasses on them and wasnt impressed.... The glass kinda sits in there but doesnt seal.... the daystar ac is kinda screwed in and has some type of foam around the entire glass edges so it makes it air tight. It works well for me and my 400 watt hps in my little area. good luck with your grow man

:peace:

FYI dont pay more than $85 for one. HTGsupply has em or ebay too. But the reason I metion it is because I have seen them for as much as $140 at some websites. The ones for $85 work perfect even comes with a hang on reflector. Just take a look at the plugs or you might need to buy an adapter so it can fit your ballast.

Just curious, why have there not been any posts in about a month? This thread is sooo interesting, and I like to see what happens because I may like to do it myself, or at least something similar!
