Hey guys, so i finally decided to grow medicinal marijuana for the first time! I have built this cabinet, which I think should fulfill the need for growing plants!

Here are some pictures from my cabinet, I have installed intake fan (lower-left of the cab), I am still working on making my own carbon filter for exhaust (upper-right). The cabinet is insulated pretty good, except between the doors which I will insulate that too.

The dimensions of the cabinet are h= 47.2 w= 39.3 and depth=19.7 in. I think that there is a decent amount of space and height! What do you think?

See the pics and let me know what you thinking, I am still a newbie and my seedling just sprouted!! I will still need to work on my light fixtures make a better one, so what i have now is only temporary.

an old guy told me once he couldn't get rid of the stinky skunk smell from his cab ( exactly like yours) so he started making his own from active carbon, a sock and a T junction 4" pipe.

he said you cant even smell the skunk through the doors its that good!! ........... 25 years later he still uses it :)

im not too sure wether this is the correct stuff but this is what your looking for ...... Active carbon rocks

good luck

The current temps with lights on are staying basically at 73 degrees. So I think it is okay, I still havent checked when the lights are shut.

Right, it is exactly what I am going to do, I already bought the active carbon (notice inside the cab, i have basically the same carbon) so I just need to build the filter with an exhaust fan!

Like this , you just pull all the branches down ..... Dead simple but don't snap any or your plant will die.
Gotcha man, I just googled and now learned a new thing!! I think super cropping is another method! seemed more easy, however I think that I will need either method later on!!

I didn't mean to look like I was hijacking. I run a 8 bulb t5 in mine. Day temps hold a steady 82 with 40% humidity. 68 at night with 40-47 humidity. 0 smell.

I ran some no name carbon filters and home made. Phresh blows them out of the water on smell control. I bought a 4x12 for a$100. Just to give you ideas. There are changes I want to make. Every run you get better.

I read that homemade carbon filters do also fine, i guess it depends how you make it, so I am putting my hopes up that it will work. I mean as long as when the cabinet is closed not to smell while exhausting hot air out, im fine with it. When I open it even if it smells a bit doesn't matter :) .

I think a DIY filter should work fine too!

this is the fan / filter set up i am using in a 3 foot x 2 foot , x 6 foot tall grow box, super quiet, no smell gets out of the box at all, and my 2 plants are in full flower / frosty trichromes now, makes no sound at all with the variac speed controller and the 6 inch can fan is dailed way down , you cant hear a thing, thats a 6 inch carbon filter from ebayIMG_7405.JPGIMG_7406.JPG IMG_7407.JPG IMG_7412.JPG

@orangesabc123 That looks pretty good man! I like it!! How much do you usually yield for a plant... just an average!!
