Decided the hell with veg on the non-fem party cups so they got transitioned (15/9) to flower today.

--------------------------

That made room so I could transplant the other 4 CH clones from the 5x5 pots to #2 smart pots. My veg room is crowded now, to say the least.

I think I decided the first clone will go into flower on 01/01/11, which means by 01/31/11 I should have 4 CH clones in flower and be well on my way to a perpetual harvest beginning in early March.

--------------------------

Since my party cups were 2oz over the limit for the PCC I decided to germ one of my freebie seeds: the Kannabia Power Skunk - http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/kannabia-seeds/kannabia-seeds-power-skunk-feminized/prod_725.html

I am going to put in a root riot after it germs until it sprouts and then straight into a 16oz party cup for the PCC. I am not sure if, or how long I will veg it for yet.

------------------------------

Here is a pic of my nutes shelf and a cola from Donna. The bud started getting crispy last night so I put them into paperbags for a little while. I expect to put them into jars tonight, or more likely tomorrow. It is a skunky nugget. :weed:

T'was a good day:

I got an ipad for christmas bonus, put my previous harvest into jars to cure, and harvested another plant (my only FIM'd plant). I also drank pretty heavily, and didnt eat much, so I did a piss poor job trimming. :S

Here we are this morning:

And the harvest:

I think I will be FIM'ing more plants in the future. ;) 8 stems/colas to trim/hang, thats it, almost no popcorn buds.

That little bastard stunk up the whole house. :hump:

Watered all 10 CH clones this morning. Having to water 10 plants in 2ga pots, all at the same time, is a lot of work. I must have used 6ga of water or more this morning.

I think that New Years Eve will be my perpetual garden's official Day 0. Beth will go into the dark room for 48 to 72 hours (if I havent put her into darkness before then) and chronic haze #8 will go into flower transition for 15/12. The CH#8 is about 7" tall now, so she will hopefully be close to 10" by that time. She will be getting week 2 nutes at 75% today along with her sisters. It will also be my first time using Hygrozyme.

Beth still has a fair number of white hairs but they have started receding quickly. I have found they recede a lot in the last 48 to 72 hours of darkness they get. I checked her with the scope and saw a few ambers so it is time, imo. She is mostly sativa so maybe I should move her into dark before the 31st. The other last female (Cassie) in the flower box will probably not get harvested until a week or so later. The hairs on the larger colas have not started to recede much yet so hopefully she will swell some more.

Both of the last 2 bagseed plants in flower have a definite potassium deficiency. I think it was caused by a couple of things that I hope to correct with my new feeding schedule. I did not flush these plants until the very end, and didnt give them enough plain waterings either. I would typically give them nutes, and then next time give them BioMarine, BlackDiamond, and Botanicare Sweet. They only got bat guano once.

This time I plan to mix the BioMarine and BlackDiamond in with the nutes along with Hygrozyme and use plain water the next time. The Sweet was a sample and I think I am going to stop using it. I am going to try bat guano top dressing again at Day and Day 30 of flower and increase the dose. I also read about 'making it rain' but that doesn't sound like much fun with my fabric smart pots. :-|

January 1st will be Day 1 of 12/12 and by Jan 30th I should have 3 more CH clones moved in to keep her company. The other 6 left in veg at that point will likely be, or soon be, topped/cloned and/or trained. The first few will not be topped, but the later ones will have to be so I can keep the height under control in the veg box as well as flower. I am not sure what to expect, but I am guessing there will be a dramatic stretch in the un-topped plants as it is a 60/40 sativa/indica from my research.

Harvest updates, because I went and bought some scales today.

Donna/Donald:

She was my 2 headed mutant. I noticed about halfway thru flower she had this funny shaped thing on the top of one cola, but I wasnt sure what it was. I know, now.

I found 3 seeds so far from the 3 to 5 grams of it that has been sampled. She has been in jars for about 4 days now and has a funky/skunk smell. It is still harsh being it is uncured but it is very potent. The 2 main tops weigh 6 to 8 grams each. It weighed in today at 32.8 grams after trimming off most of the remaining stems. :hump:

Elaine:

She was the runt of the motley crew. She was short, leaning, and didn't take well to her FIM'ing when she was a baby. She grew up to look a bit like a fan and smell like a diesel garage. She was crispy and crumbly after hanging for only 72 hours but the stems were still bendy, so I put the buds into paperbags last night. This morning the stems cracked but didnt quite break so they will be going into jars tonight or tomorrow. I have not sampled this one at all yet. The buds seem a bit more airy at this point then the first couple plants but the 2 main colas weigh almost 7 grams each. 41.1 grams was her total weight this morning.

I am pretty stoked to be getting 1.25 -1.5 oz per plant already as these were rando seeds and had very little veg time. :hump:

Here is the garden this morning. The flower room is getting really empty. I culled the 4 non-fem afghan party cups that were in flower. I was way over my limit and I am sick of messing with males. The one little bushy afghans has been in flower for about 9 days now and I dont see any balls, which is a good sign. It's sibling was culled a couple days ago after showing balls.

The Kannabia Power Skunk is finally almost standing up out of the root riot plug.

The garden this morning. It looks like that tall, skinny bitch Beth has turned the corner. I can see a lot more hairs receded so she will be plenty ready for the dark room on Friday night.

All the CH clones got General Organics wk2 veg nutes at 75% along with BioMarine, DiamondBlack, and Hygrozyme.

The Kannabia Power Skunk poked it's head above the root riot today and got transplanted to a party cup.

It is a square bottom solo party cup that says it's 18oz.

DIY Air-Pruning cup and cover cup.

It seems a bit closer to 16 oz when I fill the 16oz cup and dump it into the 18oz cup. It looks like that first ring inside the cup should be pretty close to 16oz imo, and I am sure the pro-mix will compress a fair bit.

Watered in and moved to it's temporary veg home under the 2 bulb T5 HO. I am not sure how long it will veg, but it wont be very long. I start counting veg days tomorrow. It was put in water on 12/23 and popped open on 12/25. It got moved to a root riot tray, on the heating pad, with a dark cover until last night.

I had considered trying to cut clones, root, and veg them, but I am now thinking it will be easier for me to just use fem seeds. There arent any close/reliable places for clones here. I think it will be easier for me to stay under my 12 plant limit by using fem'd seeds and not have to deal with trying to root clones. Every 10 days or so I germ a seed, harvest a plant, and move a new one into flower. That should allow most of my plants 40 or 50 days from seed before going into flower, which sounds pretty good. I can fit 6 or 7 plants in flower comfortably so every 10 days should be doable for me, maybe every 12 days if I want to be sure to never have more than 6 flowering.

As a result of my change in philosophy I am going to be ordering more seeds soon, but need to make room in my veg box before these clones get outta control. I talked to a caregiver I know and am going to trade him a few of my clones for some fem Ice seeds and some non-fem California Orange.

is that the same as the day before yesterday, or something like that...:-?:-?:-?

let the fun star...
Yep, I don't think she cared for the 12 hours of darkness the first night after poking her head above the ground.

I am just getting ready to go open up the garden for the day and move my first Chronic Haze clone into flower for the start of my perpetual. Today will be Day 0 and she will get 15 hours of (mostly HPS) light instead of 18 (of MH).

Beth and Cassie are now on 74 days of 12/12 (neither had much veg time). Beth will go into darkness tonight and I will put Cassie in there once the buds from Beth are dried and jarred, so she will probably go 80 or 81 days. The Afghan has been in 12/12 for 12 days now (germ'd on 11/17) so I should see pistils soon.
