Hi,
I have 6 rather large but very healthy plants, i have started the flowering stage and all are showing pistils all over the place and look as if they will yield well, the problem i have come across is height, since i laid my CFL's down on the roof of the wardrobe with a reflective backing the plants have shot up even more and the tops of the leaves will be touching these large CFL's which produce enough heat to destroy a leaf after pro longed touching periods, what can i do? i have heard i cannot trim the tops due to being in flowering, the plants are sativa's so fairly tall plants.
another problem i have is some of the pistil's white hairs have started turning brown/red colour, is this a problem?
cheers.

Sup grower,
Sativas usualys strecth quite a bit in flower. Use LST, when mine act up i wire the top an pull her down an wire it to a hole i made in my pot. Just dont break her top off, lol.
The pistols usuly brown early from stress, an its usualy heat for me, watch your temps.

hey. i LST'd my plant b/c of height restrictins. maybe you can check into that on your next grow. here goes a pic of how close i keep my cfl's. these are 42 watt bulbs and theyre about 1-2 inches from the plant! ive had some burning tips but i think the extra lumens out weighs the loss of a few tips!im six weeks into flowering!
