you basically have the right idea... when you flush run 2 to 3 times the amount of water as the size of the pot through the pot.. you are using a 2 liter, so run 2 or 3 - two liters worth of water through each pot to flush...

now you may want to flush with a 1/4 strength nute solution because this will actually remove more salts than plain water.. and then feed it one last time with plain water prior to harvest... you dont need too do this... and since you already flushed its not a big deal.. but its something to consider later on..

FIM'ing is essentially topping without removing near as much of the plant... so whether you topped or FIM'd you should end up with the same results...

yeah they look ok, did you want them that small?? and yes that is correct fim u can get up to 8 and topping 2 to 4 main colas however the more tops the less strength in the smoke my friend

If I were U man, i would have topped some and fimmed some plants, and leaved some to grow without doing anything(exept 4 lst)
But after fimming/topping, it is good to continue with LST, to get the most out of your plants:):):)
Flushing is just like simpsonsampson420 described.Flush at the end of your harvest 2 weeks before.-ok :hump:
If u want to see how a topped plant looks like, check my Journal-but again, Im not growing with cfls too :hump:

Plants looks fine, but they could be even better.
So man, did u start to use any nutes-i guess U did, cas why would u else start talking about flushing.
And again, how much cfl-s do u use and what are the wattages????

it all takes trail and error dude. ok i see you are packing ur grow space , just remember to keep it clean and safe. first i want to coment that with that many plants you got to control odor , so just keep a open container with coffee beans or grinds . second watch out for buggs . constant inspection of leafs bottoms a must and keep notes of every detail of things u do to the laidies this way u knw what they like or dont like . mesure the amount of water given the number of times u feed and ect... doing this may take time butt is better then guessing uknw.. i get better results with untop plants . i do lst around the last two weeks of vegg and the first two of flowering , but also let them go natural vertical growth just to experiment. when flusing make sure that the plant gets rid off 70 percent of the water given . i mesure this by doing the folowing put a biger tray at bottom of ur puts to colet flushed water and put back in the original container that u use to poore , this way u knw how much water stayed in ur soil and if u need to get better drainage. after flusing let ur soil dry for a few days . if low on cash u could use grind egg shells for calcium , it improves stem growth , just mix with soil , i usually do this during veg tho. is your first grow rigth so it would take a while . stay cheap and quiet and lil by lil you yourself would notice your improvements .i have been growing for a feew years but i knw a feew close friends that grow too and i dont really knw why but they dont like sharing theyr secrets or resepies . they do help me a bit tho but i realize that even with theyr xpencive set ups a lot could go wrong and it takes your own earn xperience to get the pot you like. iam a total fan of a head high i am an artist and getting creazy ideas of a bong hit makes my day. also i wanted to mention that if the size of the plants is ok for u like a personal grow then dont fim or top lst a bit and do like 6 small plants at a time and u could manege to get 2 to 3 oz every three to four months and save dula on pot ... it looks like u have patiences and thats a good thing so keep up the grow... think green.

Topping, Pruning, Fimming
Essentially they are ALMOST the same, "Pruning" and "Topping", just two different commonly words used. Fimming means a lot of indesriminate Topping. It is also known to some as "Pinching" as well. In this page it will be refered to it as "Topping"

Topping is done to increase yield and make them bushy, bushy, bushy, make more buds, promote "branching", and increase the overall yeilds of the plants. With higher overall yeilds, a grower will successfully harvest many more budds, or floral clusters, and from smaller, bushier and more compact plants.

To the indoor grower that does not use this technique, but allows their plants to grow tall, it can be a waste of their artificial lighting, and growing spaces potential. With its own natural growth pattern, and without the benifit of topping, your lady will have one main central "khola" budd, at peak flowering. Several other small branches will grow outwards, down its main stalk, with much smaller budd topps.

The natural growth pattern is to grow upwards at its main stalk. From this main central stalk will begin to grow side branches. The side branches come out as tiny shoots with leaves, and usually there are a pair of them on opposite sides of the main central stalk.

When the seed leaves have long dyed off on the main stalk. The first true seed leaves commonly can or will, wilt, dry up, or dye off of the plant as well. (the little round ones) Once healthy new vegative growth begins the rate of growth can be very fast, with excellent lighting supplied.

As the new growth increases the light reaching the lower portions of the plants becomes less. Thus it is common to see first leafs wilting and dying ect. Growers that see leaves wilting or dying, ect, will opt to pulling them off of the plants. It is cool to remvoe dying, yellowing unhelathy leaves. I NEVER remove a helathy leaf.

The main central stalk is topped of just above the branches that are coming out below it. A pair of scissors is best be used.
There are no rules to where you top your plant or how old it needs to be. As long as your plant has shoots protruding further down the main stalk it is able to be topped. When topped the growth of the plant will be concentrated towards the new, younger vegative shoots.

Once you have topped your plant(s) the younger shoots will rapidly begin growing. With the removal of the main central stalk the lower braches grow more. With topping completed we keep the plants on their regular lighting and feeding schedules.

Now each new shoot tip will essentially grow as the main stalk did, however the growth is not concentrated to only one central stalk. So as each new shoot grows outward new shoots will grow from each one of them stalks as well.

Therefore topping can be done again, and again, and as each shoot becomes a growing tip with other shoots forming down its stalk, it is removed. By completing these topping or pruning tactics, a grower can acheive any desired height, or desired bushiness, they desire in their plants.

I TOP and FIM, at the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th week, (I do a rapid Hydro grow) . Look at the results in the pic of my dozen stalks.

With pre-planned Topping and Prunnimg, I was able to persuade a plant to make 12 or 13, (depending on how you count them) to produce 12 oe 13 stalks. got about 46 inches tall, and produced 7 ounces of dried manicured buds.

so wat do u all think about them, r they good for my first indoor grow or wat, i only had sum out side every year and i never did anything to them at all just planted them and watch them grow, but indoor plants is alot different then outdoor plants and alot harder but of course its going to be. i probly going to do both for now on, just so i can have ok buds outside and reallt good buds inside if u no wat i mean.

but really are those plants pretty good to be my first indoor plants????

Where in the hell am I?

Not true. More sites, more bud. If you are a bad grower, then yes, you can degrade the quality of yer bud, however, the genetics are NOT affected through pruning, neither is potency. The SIZE of yer individual khola's CAN be smaller, but any seasoned grower knows wat additives to use to eliminate even that problem.
