I am using a 4 bulb t5 lighting fixture with 2 blue spectrum bulbs on the outside and 2 red spectrum bulbs on the inside. The CFLs are there to eradicate a little of the dark area. Im also growing a lot of other different things, I want to set up a room for blooming so i dont interrupt the growing of the other things.

Having a flowering room is sweet! I really would love two separate areas.
any thoughts to what you will use for lighting in the flowering room?

Just a couple of quick snap shots of root growth in my hydroponic unit. the seedlings are about 4-8 weeks old, i forget when i planted them. it isnt a true aeroponic unit yet as i need the nft-1 or the art-2 to get the pumps to turn on and off. but i am getting some nice "air roots".

my seedling tray without a humidity dome. the only thing in there right now is a bunch of jalapeno i over planted, a bhut jolokia plant, and a fatali plant.

a fan strengthening stems and blow co2 from my diy co2 generator. i have a second co2 generator attached to my germination tray with a humidity dome.

The timer for my t5 light fixture and my 2 cfls. currently set to 18 hours on and 6 hours off.
DSC01378.jpg

my old 330 gph pump that i converted over to a 3/4" fitting to attach a garden hose to it. i have several rain barrels in the back yard that i water my backyard with. now i can pump it out instead of hauling buckets.

my 1 head nutramist fogger that a friend gave me. he didnt buy the power supply though, so i had to order that today.

just drained both hydro units. drained all but like 2-3 gallons in each reservoir. then refilled with the washer spigot. ph of water is about 7.2. i added 5 mL of ph down to both reservoirs.

7 am -
hydro 1 - 137 ppm and 5.53 pH
1 capful of foxfarm grow big added
1 capful of hygrozyme added

hydro 2 - 225 ppm and 5.18 pH
2 capful of foxfarm grow big added
1 capful of hygrozyme added
1 mL of ph up added

lemme tell you, there really isnt anything to support hygrozyme being useful on the label, but it has made a world of difference to my plants. they grow bigger and faster.

here are some pics. 5-26-2010 taken at 4:30 am.

This plant has been overfed, underfed, over-watered, under-watered, sat in too high of a pH, sat in too low of a pH. everything. I can't believe that it's even alive.

Recovering from the FIM.
DSC01388.jpg

I'm pretty sure I cut too much above the fourth node when I FIMmed this one. This is my biggest one, so I'm assuming that it's a male anyway.
DSC01386.jpg

Another plant that I moved to Hydro 1, which has a much lower ppm than Hydro 2, to recover from all the hell that I have put these plants through.
DSC01385.jpg

Plant on the left and right have been FIMmed and are recovering nicely.
DSC01390.jpg

A little clearer shot of the plant that I think that I cut too much off of the top when I FIMmed it. The plant at the top with the round leaves is a Bhut Jolokia pepper plant. There is also another plant with elongated, round leaves, I have no idea what kind of plant it is, but it's still growing, so I'm willing to find out what it is. I really need a bloom room soon to move these things into. The plant inthe middle looks like it's droopy to me, probably because I just took all the hydroton out to shove the plant lower in the basket, I'm thinking shock of some sort.

hydro 1
298 ppm
6.2 pH
added 1 mL ph down
added 1 tsp maxigrow

hydro 2
698 ppm
5.74 ph
added 1 tbsp maxigrow
added 1 capful grow big

my goal right now is increase ppm of hydro 1 to about 350-400 and have a ph under 6
the goal of hydro 2 right now is a ppm of 1000 or so

can anyone tell me what the purpose of the foxfarm trio is? i know there is the grow big for the veg phase and the tiger bloom for the flower phase, what is the middle one for?
