my first aeroponic design

Yes.. thanks for the info. I just got some new pumps for the aero build soon. I'm going to use the fence posts. There will be a 550 pumping for 20 plants.

The fence posts are 4" or 6" id?
never seen bigger then 4 3/4
there is 4 inch and 4 and 3/4
go with the 4 and 3/4 it is 8 foot 2 inches so cut it 4 foot 1 inch.

and buy 4 end caps for it
get yourself a tube of aquarium silicon
to cap the ends.

thanks cheef.. i mean chief.
I have figured out everything now except I cant decide how to run the sprayers. I'm set on the ez clone sprayers that stinky uses. I like the top mount spray but the bottom seems a lot easier.

when u want to flush that system, would very hot water work to break the salts down?

those are soooo nice, and you could make those so convenient in size for space, great great concept, can't wait for the new pics.... especially when ya got some beautiful girls in there...

ok i have been asked for a parts list so here ya go
PARTSLIST.jpg

so lets get things going
7 strait 90's slip fit on one side and threaded on the other.
threaded go into the pipe
on the far end a slip fit 90 connects to the first strait 90
use cutters to snip off 7 1 inch inch pipe pieces make sure the pieces fit snugly together before you ever add any glue

something really important.
Cut and fit together Everything in advance without any glue to make sure it all fits nicely then mark the alignment with a sharpie so when you start gluing it does not turn into a pain in the ass.
the glue dries INSTANTLY so you can not go back once you misalign.
you mess up your done. so work carefully

to be honest this was a pain in the ass to build this way the next one will not be done this way i can tell ya that much

before you bother with this design please note!!! the RED SPRAYERS DO NOT WORK WHEN POINTED DOWN THEY PROVIDE NO COVERAGE!

i am going to scrap this design unless i can get a sprayer to work inverted

i have an idea that may work and save u a little money?? i bought a new aero system the other day, and unlike my other aero, this one has an automatic spinning sprayer, it spins and sprays at a fairly rapid speed 360 degrees.. you could place one head between 2 baskets and wala!! now you would only need 1 sprayer head between every other basket.. sounds like it would be less labor intensive and less material to purchase....

spinning heads are useless once roots take hold
my problem is that my sprayers are upside down
this is where i have a problem

hmmmm?? i'll have to think on a bowl ;) that sure is a nice design, and i hope 4 your sake you can come up with something, i'm sure ya'd hate to scrap all that work.. i'm sure ya will.... if this bowl works out and i come up with something brilliant, i'll be right back here lol..

good luck

ok after a complete tear down here is what i found.
the sprayers are so tight in the pipe they never get a proper cone pointed down so they simply must be upright
i have rebuilt the sprayer in a much simpler manner using a single pipe inside with 7 sprayers pointed up!
this should work fine!
ill put it back together and cork the holes and call it a day with that unit. ill drill out the other tube and away we go!
pictures comming soon

The First Set-Up Might Have Worked If You Had Just Changed The Mister's, Like To The Green 360*, Earl Use's Those Upside-Down In His Aero-Space All Day Long!!

But, Glad To Hear You May Have Worked It Out!!!!!,,,,,,,Best Of Luck!!!!!:blsmoke::peace:

That's the best way to do it. Even if anything leaks, it will just leak into the fencepost and back to the res.

You will notice the spray goes everywhere. The water droplets bounces off all four walls like a ball on a pool table. It works really well. I can't take a net pot out while the pump is running because all the water comes spraying out in every direction!

Let's see those photos...

Umm, i was wondering what are the square tubes? pvc of some sort?.. i need to know for my system (doing a variation on this one)
