My 4x4 tent light need update

So, I have 4x4 tent and 20 Samsung strips on T aluminium profiles, with help of Randomblame we're wiring it toghether, so I get 2.8 umol/s (or 2.86, I don't remember). This light is now 3 years old. I also have 5 FR diodes for EOD (6-8 W I think).

Anyhow, times passes, I want to add 660 nm diodes. I am looking at Ledtech 8 x 50 cm strips (so 4 strips per my frame), which is 200€. Is there any other and cheaper option?

I was looking for replacement light, but HLG diablo and other lights are just too compact/small for my idea, not to mention 1300€ for a lil bit of 660 nm diodes is too much. I also know about Alibaba lights which are great and cheaper, but hey, I already have great light, so maybe I just need to tweak it a bit.

Gota pay to play bro good LED’s ain’t cheep u could get 2x Mars hydro tsl-2000 lights that will cover your 4x4 perfectly I use them can’t prais them enough and their285$ each about the cheapest your guna get they also use the same diodes as the HLGs

I’ve been playing with DIY and have had the same prob with trying to find 660nm strips.
Ebay has bud boosters that are “ok” but I’ve found using Cree xp3 photo reds, 4w diodes on star chips with either 700/900 cc drivers work great. Also only 2-3$ per and meanwell-lpc-30-700 are only a few $ as well. also rapid LED sells pucks that are 4 of those creexp on a chip thats 10-15w and can be added to the frame. Just a thought.
Veg light has creexp3 and the 4x4 light has those ebay red bars for reference with the rapid led puck in the middle

I am getting my next lights from these guys

I do like the buddy strips

I had every intention of buying some, but there were some covid supply/production issues at the time. Got a couple of hlg 648's instead, just before they became near impossible to find.

Theirs a lot of great leds out their that have amazing penetration and par ....but finding one with even coverage is not easy to do without dropping $$$$$$ and doing some digging. I always wondered why so many people diy grow lights untill I switched over to them and had to do some digging into them

Yup. HLG might make great lights, but they dont have shit on the spread of the Gavitas.

For the love of god replace that filter while your at it! Get a bigger one too that thing is stupid small.

It's the right one I need. Maybe next time try to answer to question, or shut up with that stupid comment. Thanks.

Read my post what I am asking, then compare my light with your light. Then try not to comment, if you want to mention your Mars lights. Thanks.

Thanks for replay, but I don't think I want go with stars, soldering, glueing, buying and sourcing heatsinks, etc... I want almost "ready to turn on" light. That's why I mentioned Ledtech. But hey, looks sexy.

That’s how I was until I couldn’t find any viable 660nm linear strips/bars. Can get the mix , but not straight red unless the ebay emmerson red bars but they are 16” not 22”s . That’s why I got stars as well to compare. If you find some let me know please, not sure why these are a mystery :joint:
These but US-https://www.led-tech.de/en/SYSTEM250-SSL-120-Far-Red-Master

Regardless of haters. Amazing for $350 each or under US. WEbay. Need to extend wires to remote mount ballasts. Easy. Good go and grow. Running 2 in my tent. 015.jpg018.jpg018.jpg
