Auto-Bub

Started Germinating Nov 21.(seedshell crack after day 1)
It broke soil on Nov 25.(Showed cotyledons above soil)
It was in the seedling phase from Nov 25-Dec 17.(about 3 weeks)
Vegged from Dec 17-Jan 14.(4 weeks, so we can say I vegged from 4-6wks technically, if you don't include the seedling phases which I say is between 2 & 3 weeks long.

Flipped the light to 12/12 Jan 14.
Yeah, mine is just about the same age.

Nov 23 - put Auto Bub and Fem Blackberry (both Nirvana) in paper towels.
Nov 24 - taproot showing, moved to coco in Solo cups
Nov 26 - both broke ground

Now throughout December, my Blackberry did well but I struggled to keep the auto Bubblelicious seedling alive. It wasn't until January that I finally gave up with the first of many seedlings to succumb to my errors.

While I struggled with the seedling, I also struggled with the nutrient levels and pH for my non-auto Blackberry. That worked, though, since she took off. When she began to flower, I convinced myself that I was mistaken. After all, I was a clueless newbie, I was using growth lights and nutrients, and the cup I had marked Bub had a very frail seedling.

It was around the end of December when I realized that something was up with the Blackberry. Finding your thread finally made me 100% certain that I had mixed up the seeds, and I was growing a nice Auto Bubblelicious. However, I continued to use growth lights and nutrients. I probably didn't transition to bloom until closer to mid Jan, or around the same time you flipped your Bub. This is Jan 1, and I was still doing all growth:

Last pic I have is about a week old in my journal. I'll probably add new pics in a day or two.

So I guess Nirvana can be hit or miss. Cheap, though, so I would still recommend them for starting out - maybe stick with the fem and not auto. Once I grow some more of the Nirvana seeds I have, I should have enough skill to risk buying better seeds and some idea about a few different strains. Until now, I just bought bags of weed and was never sure of anything.

Also, just a couple posts ago I was ranting about the daily changes..Well my auto Bub no longer has a skunky smell! The wierdest shit! It smells nothing like it did yesterday. It went from a sour skunky smell to a sweet hay-like smell now! It's crazy! Hopefully I'll get some pink and some bubble gum smells in wks 6-8. Shes going in for water only starting this week as it's her final two weeks, and my Widows get AACTs for another week, as they've still got 3 to go.
Let the good times roll :joint:

That's a LEGIT lady bug haha. I have no idea where the hell it came from to get in there.
It's even moving around!
It's the 2nd one.
The first one met her fate atop a CFL lol.

Seriously tho, where the hell do they come from :joint:

Nice Cali!

Noticing that all the newcomers had 5 fingers I know you're as observant as I am haha. I'm noticing things changing between visits every day lately.
The red hairs becoming more prevalent, calyx's swelling at the very top of the buds, fan leaves yellowing from bottom up, etc.
And all of it makes me feel sooo damn good!

But every time I water them I'm pulling fan leaves off from the bottom up in numbers, but I've notice the new leaf showing up is pretty much a perfect shade of green! I figure most this new growth will end up being my sugar leaf right?

I feel like that plants are letting go of their older, larger, dying, light blocking, air circulation hindering fan leaves at this point, as a fight response to expose the smaller, stickier, more resinous leaf for pollen catching..Makes sence given all I've learned...
Which brings my to question why we supplement with N to keep them greener longer(the OG fan leaves)??
In just letting the plant be, and watching it respond, it almost seems like it's getting rid of it's old leaves for the new.

When I add the Neptunes Harvest Liquid Fish to my AACTs, I do so in part because it provides the plants with a readily available shot of N. In watching what happens in the hours after, I notice that some of my leaves that are totally yellowed sometimes show traces of green in the hours within, but that shot of N only prolongs the inevitable....
Why not just let them go as they will given the fact that they will be replaced by healthier leaf??
I know my soil mix is gonna be good on N even after I harvest, and it's evident given how happily green the new leaf is..This also explains my thoughts that flushing a soil like mine is pointless as the plant will pick and choose how to use the N in the soil.

But yeahh, I'm rambling now lol....Like I said haha I talk, type, and think a lot so this is what you get

Any input regarding my POV of just letting the fan leaves die as they will?
This time my plan is to stop using the Neptunes Harvest when each plant had approx 2wks left. For the last two weeks I'll just give water only!
That ICY water treatment :joint:
I've let my babies go au natural as well and I get kinda freaked when the leaves start yellowing off! I know it's just the plants life cycle ending and that is the way it is naturally.....but it means it's dying :( and that makes me kind of sad. So I'm gonna try my best to keep them atleast a little bit greener than usual.....may be good for my mental health, LOL!
I'm just giving little shots of N too.....I'll only add when I start seeing too much yellowing. I know it's inevitable that some leaves will get ugly. But I sure would love to have a nice little plush green bush come harvest time :)

LOL!! My Bubblelicious smelled like dog crap for a little bit! I had 2 skunky, candy phenos and 2 very indica, heavy fruity, gummy phenos. Smelled like skunked, rotten lifesavers melted in the gum that comes in baseball card packs..LOL!!!

OMGosh, it was so sticky and wonderful :) Burns so well if you like J's in a nice slow burnin paper. YUM!!!

I don't know how much longer I have to go. I'm thinking 5 weeks minimum....maybe 3 for the NL,
