Thanks do they really work that well? I've been hesitant because of the cost
I have literally had 100% success with it and a heck of a lot less misting, opening dome, closing dome etc....
I also added a couple of air stones & an aquarium air pump to the equation (cause I have the stuff).
It works great & I ain't ever going back to the Cave man system.

Here's the one I picked up for less than $50.00

So those little disc do you leave those on there until they take root into your medium or do you remove them immediately after transplant ? Im guessing you can re use them as I've seen them selling replacement ones....seems like you could wash em off and reuse them. Either way I'm sick of using Rockwool. It seems less consistent t then it use to be. I guess i just don't have the time to tend to it like i used too. does that thing have a dome? Sorry for all the q's I've been wanting to buy one of those For a while now.

has it been cold where the clones. I lost 20 out of 22 clones last week when we had a frost warning. The water in the tray was freezing. I've been n using rapid rooters since they first came out over 13 years ago. I just built an aero cloner. All my friends have great results with them. After 1 day with a test run. Leaves are praying. I'm over the old fashioned way of cloning.

the pump in there should keep.the water warm enough.

I've been using a method that is real simple and it gives me healthy rooted clones in 7-10 days. I did about four clone runs and have been getting above 90% showing roots in 7-8 days and the rest showing roots right before the two week mark , anything past 2 weeks I would toss out.
here is a list:

cloning gel - olivia's is fine I use clonex gel
roots excelurator - (kinda pricey but worth it and apply rate is very low)
=$50
rapid root 50 tray insert with plugs (use this as a trial then get more plugs when needed)
clone tray - no holes
clone dome - keep vent closed first two days then half way the rest of the time
=$25
heat mat - with heat thermostat(digital recommended) keep at 82f
=$30
total $105 (this is around what I paid might be cheeper in your area)

cloning machine cost about $150-$300 depending on how many clone sites then the pumps and the rooting gel and the….you see where I'm going with this

With 30 yrs of experience I'm sure you know the basics ,trim fan leaves for less perspiration ,cut above node etc..

With a gallon of filtered water add 5ml of roots excelurator soak the plugs you plan to use no ph needed. dip your clone in the gel and put into root plug and place in the tray holes, the tray with no holes add bout a 1/2 inch of the same water with the roots excel. Cover with dome vent holes closed first 2 days, the root plugs will slowly absorb the water I would check the water level in 5 days and just re add the same solution if needed. THATS IT. check it 7-8 days
tip: warm up the tray prior to cloning.

Here is a youtube video that will give you a visual ,basically the same method he just used different cloning gels

get a centrix tote from Lowes or home depot. 2 inch hole saw, drill holes into each square.

then 1/2 or 3/4 inch PVC pipe, 4 elbows , 1 cross tee

11 ez clone sprayers
250gph pump ( I have a 400gph. Mi e was originally larger. But I simplified it. And the 400gph pump is sort of over kill)
neoprine inserts
2 inch net pots ( cut the bottom off).
