When I first saw the dam tent I thought ahh look how cute. It ill fit in my closet right next to my clothes. That's when I needed to be hit over the head for a reality check. I was unprepared for the amount of planning required once the pieces of the puzzle started arriving. I'm pretty smart, at least my mother always tells me so, and this has challenged me quite a bit. The $1000 investment has turned into an ugly mean multi thousand dollar investment. But I'm like a kid at Christmas, I open the door every day and look in there like something is going to magically pop out of thin air. Here check out some of the pics. It's a work in progress but It's nearly complete.

Originally it was going to be a grow tent and a flower tent design. But I realized how inefficient that was going to be with the space I'm working with. Now there two flowering tents. I'm using a Waterfarm drip hydro system. I got the 8 pack and added 4 more modules onto it. It's pretty sweet, the reservoir is self filling. You just need to keep the top reservoir full. My main dilemma has been heat. The temps in the closet were peaking at 107F Ouch! After many trials and errors I have the heat in the lower 80's right where I want it. The drawback to solving the heat issue is that now I have this dam fan blowing air out of a diffuser on my closet door. It's the noise that is the worst part of it. But I can live with it, it's only for 12 hours anyway. Ill just set it to run in the early afternoon so I can have some peace and quiet at night.

looking good. i love those fans. quiet as hell.

too bad you are having problems... when you plan on planting?

Yea I'm extremely impressed with that Sunleaves Wind Tunnel. The air exhausts out of the top of my closet door and the rustling of the wind makes most of the noise. I wish I would have started with that fan, It would have saved me a ton of time and money spent on smaller crap fans. I could never get the temps to stay below 90F before. Now I'm cruising between 77F and 85F. I'm germinating a wide range of exciting strains. Well maybe I'm more excited about them then they are exciting. I'm germinating 4 seeds of each: White Widow, Endless Sky, Critical Mass, Haze x Skunk, and some bag seeds as a control variable. The seeds from the seed bank were tinier than I expected but they all cracked and have sprouted right away. I have been practicing germination with some bag seeds, I didn't want to waste any of my precious WW seeds. I learned that if you use a little heating pad to keep the temp about 80-85 they will grow circles over non heated seedlings.

Here is one of the homes for my moms and clones. Should be 2 months before I have enough clones ready for the 2- 400w grow tents in my former closet.

well. looking great. love to see pictures of clean setups. I have a tent also. Im pleased with it. They do do their jobs well. You said only flowering area and no veg/mom. way too expensive and dangerous to keep buying seeds. try a box for 2-3 moms. Its worth it for the guarenteed females and 0 cost after 1st. my tent is now my mother tent and my room itself is the flower. i keep my moms on 24 and the tent is perfect for keeping the light contained inside and with a strong fan decent temp control.

Looks so nice man. I have a 4x8 tent myself which i use for flower, then i open one of my side doors and theres my veg. I love it. But anyways to get rid of your heat issues try pulling air into the tents with another fan from a cooler area (if possible) if not then just try to circulate that air to your max. Another thing that is *key* to grow tents for regulating temp is air cooled reflectors. I am not sure how many duct openings u have, i kno i have more than enough but I have a nice yeildmaster II with the tempered glass and 6" ducting. And that way my temp stays regulated and my co2 doesnt go anywhere other than to the plants. What size are those by the way?

word to that, I just had a buddy about to buy one of those tents, but the guy at the hydro store told him not to, because the plastic was out-gasing and emitting this noxious, deadly gas. If you want to use one he said, just set it up for a week with your fans blowing, but no plants in there and all should be good.

BTW, Nice closet set up bro! It's a way better use of space than for clothes! I got a 400w and a 600w in my closet. We should start a closet grow thread, give all of us closet home bodys a place to hang out when not chilling in our bedrooms!

I also wish we could give Karma like you could on the old OG.com, cause you my friend would have a boatload of Karma!

LOL, Thankfuly the tent was setup with lots of time to breathe. You know I broke out in a rash on my neck when I assembled the dam thing. I could smell the chemicals and it was making me sick. Not surprised to hear about this. Luckily Im still getting by on wide open windows and lots of fresh air. One of the reasons I decided to grow was the unusual way my apt stays cool during the day time. I havent had to rely on the A/C yet this year. Even when its 90 outisde its still 80 inside with the windows open, go figure? With the grow lights running (1000w total) my total electric bill is still going to be under $100. But once it hits the mid 90s I think Im going to have to button up the place and crank the A/C.

Secret Jardin is the way to go... no worries about chemical smell or anything... and it has mylar lining on the inside and a thermal layer that blocks any heat readings... there tits

good to hear :-) i should be a Secret Jardin sales rep, prolly get a hell of a discount :D

Any you wont see any light with the secret jardin lol.....

The Odorsok silenced the rustiling air sounds. I took out the air diffuser and put on an Odorsok. Wow what a difference. Now the exhaust is nearly silent, looks kind of odd and might not be so easily explained away, but I live alone. It didnt slow down my air flow and the temps didnt change, Im impressed.

may i suggest putting your pots higher than the resivour, that way a pump isnt needed to refill res and eliminating the potential flooding.
