Building my 4X8 Auto-grow tent/room

Got the outside vent hooked up and sorted. I'm now venting into the garage behind the garbage cans. This has dropped the temp in the room by 20-deg, and the temp inside the tent by 10. So glad I got around to this.

There's literally no smell in the house/room now. There's a slight tingle in the garage, but it's mixed in with the garbage, so I don't think anyone would pay it a second thought. Also...the garage is now kinda heated. Bonus! (smells like hot garbage....but I like the "hot" part of that.)

Nice. Keep in mind when you push air out of your house like that, new air has to get in somehow. That means in the cold winter, cold air will be coming in every little crack and same goes for hot summer. Ultimately this just means higher heat and electric bills. I personally push my exhaust from upstairs into the basement during winter. The heat goes to warming the whole house.

I'm in a new construction house, and my grow room is in the basement already, so I'm not sure what more I can do about that. I'm more concerned with temps in the room/tent and smell in the house than a higher heating/cooling bill.

So far, so good! Temps are remaining consistent everywhere, and the smell is nonexistent a week after doing all of this.

Being that your grow room is in the basement perhaps you could just vent the grow room to the rest of the basement if you do start to have issues?
