Blue Dream's resin production really blows me away. It hasn't been as good with pancake because she has been affected by the pH problems a lot more because she had more of the source of the problem in her mix. I'm flushing water with a pH of about 7.8-8.0 though her until her runoff gets over 6. She's had 2 gallons already this morning. The next one will have more base. I'm really wondering what the hell is going on in that soil.
I'm expecting Bushy Girl will take a gallon to get a decent runoff pH as she seems to be doing a lot better overall but is still having some problems. She's up after pancake for a flush. Cu has had an ok runoff pH so far, so I'm guessing whatever is causing it is a something like a microbe decomposing stuff and getting an acidic product.
Pancake is at 50 days today so hopefully she can keep going, she's putting out white pistils still. Well again as that had stalled briefly when the acidity was at it's worst.
I'm really looking forward to not having to deal with this anymore. I'm planning on building a flood and drain system for when I do my next flowering run. I'm getting sent a bunch of beans by a friend so I'm going to be popping tons of beans and then running a SOG with clones of the females to pick keepers. Winners will be used to do a seed making run. I'm going to reverse my Blue Dream and cross her to everything while I make the S1s. I'll be keeping a journal of everything, if it goes well I would like to sell the stable product and I would like people to be able to see what they're getting. There is so much bullshit in the seed business, it's sick. I was curious about the source of the Blue Dream seeds that HSO sells and sent an email asking how they were made and got a response that they couldn't tell me about their parent stock or the method they use to produce feminized seeds for security reasons, but that if I bought them and grew them they were sure I would be convinced that they did in fact originate in California. For $13/seed I'll pass. I don't care if it is legit and their beans produce the dankest shit in history, the flat refusal to answer simple questions about their product rubs me the wrong way.
I'll have some pics up a little later after the great flush is finished.

It took 2.5 gallons of steadily more basic water but I got a runoff of about 6.4 from Pancake! It only took a gallon of less basic water to get the same from bushy. Cu's runoff has been ok thus far.
I forgot to take a picture of Pancake while she was out of the closet, just imagine a fucked up plant making a little recovery. The white pistils are really standing out. And she's day 49 today, not 50. Soon!
Here's a shot of bushy and then a shot of the BotM bud's resin. Tomorrow is 5 weeks. If I can keep her healthy despite the soil issue she should reward me very well. She's about 18"x15" and about 12" tall from the lip of the pot.

And here's a group shot. I have the Blue Dreams raised on some books to even out the canopy some. I'm going to miss being able to do that in a flood table. I'm going to have my wife try to improve my editing job on that one. I'll post a final version later.

Yes, yes I do, and she has been in the closet that the plants are in, so getting all of the hair out is really hard. And those buds are sticky.

haha I suffer from the same problem, have two cats, but even if I never let those bastards in, still hair travel through the house like pollen :D

Yeah, mine is grey and white and most of my clothes are dark colors :)
haha mines both are white as snow. you can see white hairs even if you wear white clothes :D

white is always interpreted as good, however those are good only when they sleep.. bastards :D

anyway, if u'll find out, how to get cat hairs out of that sticky resin, please let me be the first you'll post the solution :)))

Great to see you Racer!
I really love the blue dream. She really helps me with pain and I can smoke her all day and stay functional. I'm really looking forward to doing some breeding with her in the fall.
My cat has no interest in the grow if I leave the door open, but when I take the plants out to water them I need to look out because she likes to try to munch on them then. But her hair gets everywhere.

lol, we got the one cat and the one dog and the dog's a lab mix, blonde hair, and damn, does she ever shed like a mofo.. could probably build a new dog if i took the vacuum apart and used all the dog hair, lol. :D

but anyhoo's, thanks, yeah, it's been a rough few months without the internet.. damn boring if i do say so myself..
and yeah, blue dream is nice.. i'm still sitting on a small stash of it.. love the taste and the high is always nice... like you said, nice day time smoke without getting too stuck to the couch..

I took a couple of shots of the Royal Dog this morning. She's starting to flower nicely and it looks like she's stopped stretching. I'm going to mark the tallest cola and take shots of it over time like I'm doing with Bushy Girl.

My Internet has been spotty and posting pics from my phone is a pain in the ass. I'll get some up soon though. Plants are looking good. I chopped the mains on pancake, I'm going to give some of the lower stuff another week. Sure is depressing how much this stuff shrinks when it dries.

Our internet is working so here's some pictures I took on Monday.
First up is the Royal Dog. I'm really hoping she's not going to grow any taller. As it is I have to keep her turned so the tallest top is furthest from the bulb because it's getting warm up there. I don't remember exactly when she went into flower. I think it was May 24th.

Bushy Girl is continuing to pack on frosty goodness. She's 41 days in this picture.

Here's some shots of the bud we've been following.

Here is pancake on day 56. I chopped the tops the next day because her calyxes and trichs were swelling. I'm leaving what was the underside for a week to finish up. I think I'll be getting about 14-17g dry from the colas and I'd bet I'll get another 10g from what's still on her, not bad for a severely stressed plant.

And a freshly trimmed nug.

those Royal Dog stems looks thick huh, reminds me of my SLH I grew last time.. Looking sweet man, keep it green!

Cu was still stretching and the tallest top was growing outside the reflector. So I tied her down a bit. I'd call what I did to three of the tops LST but one looks to be higher stress. I think the larger surface area at the top getting the most light should outweigh the stress, and it had to be done.

Here's what's left on pancake. This is a tough fucking plant.

Bushy is having some Mg issues from the looks of it. Her runoff pH has been getting low so I added a knife tip of washing soda to the her feed along with a tsp/gal of Jack's and about a 1/2tsp of epsom salts in hopes of stopping the Mg problem. She should be done in about 3 weeks so I'd like to keep her as healthy as possible. until then. Her buds are looking great.

She does have some thick stems. One of them didn't really want to bend.

I used the loupe I use for looking at trichs as a lens for my phone camera (it's an iphone 3GS, it's old and crappy) and took this:

Pardon the HPS lighting it's a pain in the ass taking the plants in and out to get a pic under normal lighting.

Some pictures from this morning.
Here's what's left on Pancake. I'm probably going to let what's left go for awhile to help explore Stella's harvest window. Using different names for moms and flowering plants gets confusing. Using the same name for different flowering plants gets confusing.

I forgot to take a whole plant pic of Bushy, she's getting big and some of the tops are leaning. Here's the bud we've been following and a close up to see the resin.

Cu seems to be doing just fine with bondage. Maybe she'll learn not to grow up into lights. She's had some lower leaves coming off and I think they're not getting enough light.

Here's the clone I took of her that I've been mainlining. I'm going to have to train the tops a little to get them even. I'm thinking of going for 16 tops on this plant so one more round of topping.

Here's the baby Purple AK X Jack Herer, so far it's the only one that has come up. I'll leave the others for a little bit and hope they come up. I buried this one's stem this morning.

Look up mainling, it's a technique where you top the plant for two tops then keep topping the shoots so you end up with 2^n even tops where n it the number of times you top the plant. I'd been thinking about trying something like it as a way to get 4 mains that stayed even without needing as much training. Then I was told someone had named the technique.
