Not a joke either, remove the plant, kill it with fire, bury the corpse and desecrate the ground.

In your situation a male is only good for ruining your females.

that was the absolute worst news I could have gotten, but very appreciated. guess I'll get rid of it tomorrow, what's even more disheartening is that I've found the exact same features on another one of the plants. I think I'm stressing my plants too much, down to two plants now,, this takes a little work I see.
