Grows looking good, subbed. I'm growing the same strain but had a bit of a disaster today. Are you planning on a harvest before xmas? thats what i was hoping for but looks like it maybe afterwards now.

Hey whats up. Beans are sprouting up good. I thought I saw this in your last grow journal. You used you HPS buld (2100k, orange color) for veg and I think maybe you used you HPS conversion (4100k, blue/yellow) for flowering. Or maybe you just used the HPS bulb all the way. Best to use 4100k bulb for veg, and the 2100k for flower. Do it the way you like, I'm just trying to be helpful.

If ever these plants start to get too big and you start wondering if when they are going to flower, go ahead and put them in 12/12 and they will flower for you. Once again, just a suggestion. Hope it goes well for you.

I used just the HPS for the entire grow last time, and the plants vegetated about as well as I could have hoped for. High pressure sodium lamps actually have a fair amount of blue spectrum in them in comparison to the red in metal halide bulbs, making them more suitable for full life cycle growth. Thanks for the kind words.

Welcome aboard :) Sorry to hear you ran into trouble - hope everything turns back around for you. Cats really love cannabis leaves a lot. If all goes well, should be harvesting well before the holidays, for sure. And then I'll be startin' right back up to take advantage of the lowered winter electricity costs while I can.

Not much excitement to speak of but at this point that's a good thing. Clear skies so far. Working an SLR in pitch black is something everyone should try :)

Time to sit around and wait for them to get past infancy.

By the way. Starting in large pots is pretty nice, I've only had to water twice. No fears of dehydration. :)

Keep it green folks. Feel free to ask questions, I'm sleepy so no other details come to mind.

hey i suggest go to sweet seeds and get urself fast bud, big devil or speed devil all autos, very easy to grow and they yield well and take very little skill to grow.

Here are the pictures I promised :)

Sorry for the lapse, but they've definitely shown some progress since last post.

Two of the seedlings came up showing nitrogen suffocation, and loosening their over-tight soil seems to have returned a lot of their life (seems the taproot was unhappy with my hasty potting job). They've started growing in pace with the other three.

no probs, hey what is the total growth time for these AK's? day of germ ---> Harvest
i harvested some on day 48, it was alright, but then i harvested most on days 54-56 or so... that stuff was much better. and then I think one was harvested on day 60. it was by far the highest quality. i've smelled less pungent odors coming out of a diesel pump.

thanks for the info ;) will watch this space

no problem man :eyesmoke:

looks like alot of people are starting up there grow. i always take mine indoor during the cold months
the added security is nice :) i had some girls (mystery seeds with my feminized AK's) stolen from my back yard deck ... but hey, you live you learn. it's a good time of year to start up indoors in a lot of places where electricity is cheaper in the winter.

could be; usually when a plant is taller than it's supposed to be it means it's not getting enough light, which is why i moved them closer. seems their vertical growth has slowed down in favour of horizontal growth.
