Dude - did you cut off that mold yet? - if not get on with it!!! - remove EVERYTHING and the stuff right next to it (that it touched). Just harvest those buds with mold on them and rest of plant could be left to finish of. With that rain and a lot of mold you could consider an early harvest instead of a lot of more mold.
Good luck with her.

The plant's circulatory system constantly moves nutrients throughout the entire plant. I'm very sorry to say that mold anywhere in her can spread poisons through the rest of the plant. I'm sure someone will try smoking it anyway but they should be warned.

Heres my theory on that: If its burnt and then filtered through water nothing poisonous is getting through that alive. Right, right......right???

Hi Guys,

I have some mold (i think) and need to know what I should do. As you can see from 2 of the pics (1st and 3rd) I have soft mushy black spots forming on some buds. I believe I'm about a week from harvest. Maybe 10 days. I need to know if I should harvest now or wait and see??? Please help.
The weather for the next weeks is suppose to be 60's-70's with rain.
If you wait you will have nothing left...mold can take out 50% of crop in a night....your call though?

I picked 3 buds of mold this morning too. Its 70 f and sunny ,brezzy right now so that should dry it up.I can pick soon as it drys up because I have a few trichs amber color,so instead of taking a chance to loose more to mold i think ill pull im before next rain. (New England)

I'd chop it asap, if I were you. It look plenty ripe to me, and at any rate, the trichs are cluody by now, even if there's few amber ones. Many guuys harvest at this time, purposely, for the most energetic buzz possible. The only thing you'd be sacrificing, is some of the potential couchlock effect. IMO, that's much better than losing a bunch more smoke. Agreed?

Thanks bro. Just to update, turns out what I thought was rot/mold was bud worm damage. I have trimmed some buds off around areas that were damaged. Anything soggy and blackish cut trimmed as well as the adjacent bud. Some of the buds had that white webby inside and one did have a worm. It breaks my heart to cut this plant up early like this. I only have 2 of em and this is my best one. My other plant has no worms or mold but it is much taller and skinnier and not as productive. I bet the bushy plant that I trained becam more susceptible because it is low to the ground, bushy, and denser buds.

Im gonna try and get another week out of flowering in if possible. That will be 9-11 weeks or so. Im new so not really sure when to count the start date of flowering.

Agreed, but I just looked as closely as I could with a shitty magnifying glass and I would say I have 50% clear trichs still--though it is very hard to tell. I almost went croseyed.

I mean your point is still valid regardless but if this is just rot from bud worms would you still chop???

Go throw a bud in the microwave, for 10 seconds at a clip, until it's dry enough to smoke. If you're happy with the buzz, chop it, because the smoke is going to be better, when dried properly. Why guess, when you can sample it, and know for sure? :bigjoint:

EDIT: I'd chop it either way. :)

^That sounds about right. As long there's plenty of airflow, the risks will be minimal. Best of luck to you both.
