I want to switch my SOG setup to a SCROG right now i have 4 fence post with 4 sites each total of 16 sites in a 5x4 area with 2 400w hps see pic below right now set up to do 4 plants every 2 weeks but when i put new clones into flower the plants that have been there 2 weeks block to much light and since i have to stay under 24 plants cant do a lolipop 200 plant grow have to veg them to 12" then flower plus getting tired of of dealing with 4 reservoirs just in flower area plus every 2 weeks is actually alot of work.
My plants right i have two strains going femaleseeds.nl Pure AK and Extreme Indica both start crowning after a little more than 2 weeks 12/12 they double in size the first week then add another half original size during week 2 (ex 12" clone after 1 week 12/12 = 24" after 2weeks = 30" then buds start.)
have 2 ideas trying to figure which would work the best both share this design. Going to build 2 screens 2.5'x4'. i will use 2 of the fence post under each screen so 8 sites/plants under each screen close enough to 1plant per sq ft. going to try a 30 day cycle
ex. clone/root/veg 8plants for 30 days then move to flower for 60days. every 30 days 8 plants/1 screen finishes and 8 new clones are cut.
question time with 1 plant per sq.ft. of screen should i veg under screen and start training during the 30 day Clone/root/veg or should just grow the clones to 12" and throw under screen straight into 12/12 and use the 18"s of stretch to fill screen.
if i can use the 18" of stretch im good if i need to use the clone/root/veg time to fill out screen this is where the modular part comes in i would build 3 screens but frame each one so the fence post and screen move as one that way i could start one module in my veg tent and after 30 days move the entire thing to the flowering area 1 module in veg tent 2 in flower area running perpetual SCROG.
So main question put 12" clones directly into 12/12 under screen and use 18" of stretch to fill screen or do i need to go modular and use the clone/root/veg time to fill screen remember i'll be using 1 plant per sq. ft. of screen.
any feedback that will help is appreciated and will add rep for good educated experienced responses
