"Mn Growers Unite" 2011

Hey, i finally got some pics up. me and my gf and a buddy trimmed the top half of my AK48 the other night and these are some pics of what we got. Along with pics of the rest of my girls.

This is the table we trimmed at and all the trimmed bud, along with about half of the trim we created. the white is big tag board sheets, its roughly 4x7 feet just for size

nice work! i was disappointed in my ak48 this year. embarrassing yield and some bud rot. Somebody was catchin on to my grow so i was not able to do any check ups or water when it was super dry last month

thats to bad that people gotta be in your bussiness.

I was very pleased with my AK48 she will be my heavy yielder for this year

My buddy grew ak 48 out in mm too and he said it was the best outdoor strain he's seen. Don't fuck with cheap nirvana shit. Try Cali connection, tga subcool, dj short spice of life, alphakronic. White label is sensi seeds owners kids knockoff line there masterkush is dank and same prices as nirvana. Mandala hashberry is great in mn. My nirvana experiences were not good except ice but it's bland tastin. Spend some money u get in what u put in.

King kush from greenhouse was well received. Grape ape x og kush? Picking my few left 2 day. Good thing my partners did well or no new car 4 me. No pics from me sorry I'm all about money and high quality. If someone helps me upload I'll show. I'm new and not very computer knowledgable. So oh well. C u next year I'm gonna put out 1000 clones. Hows everyones harvest been going?

So far ive got about 12 o's off of my AK48 plant

And im hopefully gonna start trimming my northern lights

But ive had a pretty big problem lately, my so called "stealth" drying box is NOT getting rid of the smell enough!
Ive got a carbon filter that is not doing its job! I dont know what is wrong with it, it just wont exterminate the smell.

And i am drying in a not 420 friendly place.

The northern lights smells at least 10x as much as the AK did so im nervous!

catmando- I had a family death recently, so I been handling all of those affairs and haven't had much time to photograph. Other than that, I have about every single plant harvested already and things have been great.

i cut down my short rider today, at 7 months of age

The short rider was supposed to be an autoflower but it flowered later than most of my other girls

However, she turned 100% purple so i stopped complaining about the autoflowering lie

Looks like itll be another 2 or 3 ounces which is awesome cuz that plant was rather small with small buds

Ive also had many compliments on my ak48, it surprised me that it turned out so good.

I have been very happy with my first grow!

So far my yield is 12 oz. from the ak48 with another 2-4 being dried

My Northern Lights is still being dried but i estimate about 6-8 ounces from her

I fee i did well for a first timer

i know there are more MN growers out here that have some buds to show!

My totals for my first grow are:

AK48: 16oz

Northern Lights Blue: 14oz

Short Rider: 3.5oz

I only harvested one plant of each strain and was very pleased with the AK48 and will be growing in next year for sure!

What nutes did you use cat

well i used ocean forest and happy frog mixed with native soil. i also used a happy frog acid loving plant food

For veg i only used the cheap Alaskan fish emulsion

For flowering i use big bloom and tiger bloom

i am also a believer in mollasses, it is very cheap and easy to add

very simple nutes, feed every week or so then i guess i kinda flushed for about 2 weeks because i ran out of nutes cuz i gave full dosing the first few weeks

plants did great only yellowed a the very end of flower, after a 2 week "flush"

Well it payed off for ya. I dont know if it was the strain i was using or if i just didnt read the plant right cause i only got 7oz off 2 plants lol

Im going to be making my own fem seeds this winter. Im getting very causious with this ordering seeds. They are cracking down even harder every week. Im going to try an do bcseeds blueberry and a strain ive been working with for a couple years that i like to call purple bubble gum.
Anyone else have some projects going on that they'd care to share??

wow u guys have some nice lookin harvests! sorry i been away....my harvest went ok, had some problems the last few weeks of flowering which resulted in a few lost plants and an early early harvest on everything.....not what i expected but off 7 small plants i harvested i came out with about 10 oz's or so. it all smoked very well, had a super fruity taste and potent aroma, was better than the indoors ive harvested of the same strain, kept some of the pinkish purple hairs and was super frosty. it was an ok harvest, considering i was in a new place with a fresh strain and had a strugglefest of a season lol..............as for next year i just got a growlab 145 that im vegging a bubba kush mother in as well as 7 clones from her....i just picked up a bunch of white widow x blueberry seeds from some buddies in duluth, i guess its supposed to be something they just bred....short in height and i guess has a decently short flowering time so we'll see wat happens, ive got 10 f the seeds in jiffy pucks waiting to sprout so hopefully will be able to start a decent setup again and be prepared for next summer. already got a new spot picked out with multiple sites and on private land the owners given me consent to use. im pretty pumped for it tho, much easier to get to for me and wont be as far away! sorry i didnt get pics of my harvest up, we still ,makin has from the trim tho so ill post pics of that and the new setup soon here! happy growing all!!

Christ I got robbed and I still got like 20 loaves. I can't get any pics up it says I have to resize them. I have no clue. Tga shut turned out great. Chemdawg and king kush were excellent too. Grapegod was nice but I just don't like it much. If you fem seeds use somas method of late flower. I wouldn't worry bout seeds too much. If u want seeds find inbred line strains. They should breed more true, fem seeds are not a good idea, unless that's it, they are more prone to hermie and in my opinion weaker. I get almost 100% females from tga seeds. Greenest I got a herijuana male I'm hitting with pre 98 bubba and grape god to add pop.
