I've started 5 year old seed that wasn't stored properly. I've also witnessed someone start 20 year old seeds again not stored properly. So i'm thinking viabilty has nothing to do with it..But then again what do i know

Seeds gotta be tough if they are going to survive the winter and elements

Yeah but I'd like to see your germ rates on the under devolpoed ones. Alot of these companys are sending out premature seeds. Still green with no markings. But then again, what do I know. :dunce:

its tough to find cultivation laws for MN, ive never been able to find a solid answer.

Whose been digging holes yet? Ive got two done and ive had enough already haha

Only digging 4' across and 2' down and they are a bitch!!

Im considering making my own smart pots out of landscape fabric to cut down on digging time

Or maybe dig about a foot down and then put a bottomless homemade smartpot on top like a raised bed, any thoughts?

Picked up my worm castings today. All I've got left to get is perlite and some dry amendments like kelp and guanos

Does anyone know what the penalties are for growing in MN?

At what # of plants do the penalties increase?
I was wondering that too before I started my grow and it seems there is very little reliable info on the subject, hopefully someone can shed some light.

Still a little cold up north for me to be outside all day digging ten holes, we had freezing rain last night! probably going to start digging around 4/20, oh by the way how do we not have medicinal cannabis in mn yet? has a bill ever been proposed to the legislature?

proposed medical marijuana law passed through the legislature a few years back but the republican gov - Tim Pawlenty - vetoed it... VOTE REPUBLICAN... they only like government in your business when it comes to medical marijuana, religion, sexual preferences and denying health care as a right rather than a privelage... oh, I forgot... they like to send folks to war too! RIGHT ON.
UGH.

Isn't it just exhausting? the double standards in this country are enough to make your head spin. Not that democrats are any better, we need another independent like "the body" Ventura

Jesse was a good guy. Told it like it is. Didn't get distracted by lobbyists. Wasnt politically correct most of the time, but he seemed like a real person.

As far as cannibus cultivation laws, I am going to call a Saint Paul attorney listed on the Norml website this week and make an appointment for a cunsultation. I will ask about the penalties, # of plants, forfeiture of property. Anything else anybody want to know about?

yea jesse was never afraid to cut right through the thick layer of bullshit politicians seem to surround themselves with. As for your appointment it seems like you've got it all covered, will be anxious to see what you find out.

Agreed the laws tend to be a little vague but i think the main factor is if you are growing with the intent to distribute or if its for personal consumption.

As for using smart pots as a semi raised bed, its been done before i think theres a couple of cali growers on here that have some 100 gal pots. imo i think its better to just put them in the ground especially if we have a dry summer this year

Just put five more fems in the ground, not by choice. My lil bro left a fire unatended and a cop came to the door so my mom got all paranoid and kicked my plants out and their lookin half dead, tomorrows sposed to be nice tho. Luckily I was able to stash my three big females somewhere safe, Blue thunder and two early skunks. We'll see.

If anyone in MN has plants in the ground you'd better cover them tonight, it's sposed to freeze. Tommorow night too. I just got some boxes to cover mine with.
