Mixing Fox Farm Nutes

So this may seem like a some what stupid question but seeing as how we all have our own way of doing things I figured Id post and ask for some suggestions. Ive used Fox Farms and their nutes for a couple years now. Mostly ocean forest and some happy frog but thats not what this is about. I use the liquid trio, the grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. Now normally i mix them all in separate gallons of water but Ive spoken to a few people and they claim you can mix the three in one gallon but they dont personally use this method themselves. So heres what my fellow RollItUp'ers are for. Does anyone have any experience mixing the liquid Fox Farm nutes together and what advice can be offered. How does it effect ph? i know the tiger lowers ph and the castings raise it. My starting ph is 7.5

i use promix soiless medium. i use the liquids and the solubles. i mix the amount of each all in the same gal. of water.

i used to use the schedule at half strength and do every other watering. i have now been using at a little less than 1/4 strength every watering and is working out well. if they dont look like they need a feeding i give them just water.

i use well water and i dont ph anything.

pretty sure you are supposed to mix them together...you just cant mix the nutes together themselfs without water or they could lock each other out or something like that.

take a jug, add a some water, add one nute, mix then add another and so on in the same jug. then PH that mixture and use

I have been using their products for years now. I have ALWAYS mixed it this way no matter how small or large the rez. Big Bloom, then Grow Big, then Tiger Bloom, then one of the dry solubles if needed, then any other additives, bud candy, enzymes, bennies, ca mg, silica, etc. check ph then adjust accordingly, then feed. Most all my mixing rez all have plenty of air stones and circulation pumps. I went to straight coco a few years ago, but still use the FF soils for Moms, outside plants. Good luck. Peace

I am using MG organic garden soil and perlite.......and have used all the foxfarm trio in watering....i am pretty much following the foxfarm feeding shedule and have always mixed them all in the same gallon of water.....i started 1st couple feedings at half then now to the recommended amounts on the schedule......no burn at all and plants are doin great so far........i am running 1000 watt hps and 5 gal buckets.....with lots of circulating are and 2 co2 exhale bags........

anyone else? Im concerned with ph after the mixing

This is correct, what I was told by Foxfarm. I mix up gallons of nutes for whatever phase I am in, using their feeding chart. I put about a quarter gallon in the jug, add the various nutes, then top it off. The action stirs it up good too.

I use the full FF nut line up. My PH is 8.0 from tap.
after mixing all in the same body of water, I have to adjust using PH up.
after mixing the PH is usually around 5.8 to 6.0

what do you use to check the ph? my water is brown after mixing my nutes. The bloom is yellow i believe and the castings are brown.

I'm confused? What is adding them seperately gonna do?
That's like eating everything on your plate seperately....steak, fries, salad etc. It still goes the same place and mixes together anyway.

its common practice to add each to water seperately. some fertilizers if mixed together straight can cause a severe reaction. im sure fox farms wont but i have never tried.

Point being, we are not talking about separate water (jugs), just not mixing the nutes together straight before adding to the water. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would do that anyway lol

The o.p. was referring to mixing them up in 3 seperate jugs. Sounded like he was pouring them onto the soil in 3 seperate jugs. my bad.

I was Mixing the nutes in separate containers yes. Feeding at different time. one week the grow big, the next one of the others. Now I wanna mix al # and test my ph. what is recommended

asked and answered. in soil try to keep the ph around 6.8

No my questions have not been answered. Well one of them.. How do I test pph of water that has changed colors do to the fox farms?????

Buy a PH meter.
They are under $10 on Amazon or eBay
