Misting -- is it good or bad?

I read in couple places that you should "mist" your seedlings. I did that for a few days, then once after misting my plants, there were brown spots on the leaves where the droplets were the night before.

I'm wondering if maybe the spots were rot from the water. Here's what it looks like now. The spots stayed but the plant's doing okay. (Tiny, but surviving.). Anyone else have problems with misting?

Misting is not worth your time.

It causes more problems than good. Then again I live in a place where humidity is a bit more available.

If I grew in Arizona, I would mist. lol

misting is just to bring up humidity levels but honestly its not too big of a concern. too many things can go wrong if you aren't careful ie. rotting

The biggest problem I have heard of with misting, though I have never had a problem with it, is that the water droplets amp the light and you get small burn spots. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I always use tubes on the little ones so I'm not totally sure. Hope it helps.
