Miracle grow perlite bad?

I plan on mixing in some Miracle grow perlite in with my FF Ocean Forest soil. I have read and been told that MG Perlite has nutes in it. Its somethin like
0.04-0.01-0.06 NPK value. I have read washing it out works fine. So I washed my perlite today pretty good. I Poured alot of MG Perlite in a pot of boiling drinking water. Then strained it with a strainer. Then to be safe I flushed the perlite in the strainer several more times with drinking water. My thing is is this safe to use now or what? The last 2 times I flushed with water in the strainer the water in the pot below still looked greyish brown. When I first boiled it in the pot with hot water there was alot of brownish water in the pot. Then as I flushed it with water a couple of times more the browish water started getting a little clearer when I looked at it in the pot. Im guessing this is problably the dust from the perlite that is still making the water look kinda dirty. Or do you guys think Im good to go any thoughts on this please? I dont want to burn my plants nor use MG or any chemical nutes.

your fine by now. I didnt even wash mine those npk values are pretty minimal regular potting soil has higher levels sometimes. It shouldnt burn unless you feed with nutes in the first two weeks.

the nutes in it are .1% its not even noticeable.
the miracle grow perlite from walmart is all i grow in see my pics.i would ditch the soil and grow a hempy bucket its a lot easier and cheaper.

i don't even bother to rinse it off i just pour it in the bucket and water it,and put the clone or seedling in.

Thanks Johnny. I just didnt want it to have any nutes in it even in minimal amounts. Since Im growing organic and you know organic and chemicals dont mix. Well Iguess I flushed out most or all of the little bit of N-P-K the perlite had. Next time Im going to buy Fox Farms Perlite to avoid this.

Dude. Put it in a strainer, turn on the faucet, and let the water run over the perlite until it comes out clean from the bottom. Then, put it in your soil and mix it up. You're overthinking this.

No one will tell you your grow was not organic solely because you used perlite that may have had trace amounts of chemical nutrients. if they do there just a fuck ass, and you should ignore them and not share your bud with them.

LOL I know im over thinking this way too much. If I run it under tap water wont the chlorine stay bonded to the perlite even if let to air dry? What you think?

perlite is perlite.
just cause mg makes it doesnt mean it will burn or kill your plants. Im a soilless amend. Its used to aerate your medium and extra drainage.
Just mix it with ff and dont worry. Make sure its mixed well.

If a gas does stay bonded to the perlite for some reason it certainly won't be in a quantity great enough to even being worrying about.

fill a 5 gallon bucket with water and let it sit uncovered over night and the chlorine will be gone.but i would not worry about it just rinse and use

it's trace amounts, it's not going to have a major effect
if you hate it so badly, go buy some other perlite
i do organic growing, and i use this perlite
what it has will be naturally removed in a month during watering

Yeah but see organic and chemicals dont mix even in trace amounts its gona kill beneficial microbes. This is why I want to rinse it out as much as possible. And actually you know what MG sucks! I unfourtunally bought a bag of MG perlite at my local Home Depot thinking it was just perlite. Well I was wrong after reading the bag a week after buying it I found it had MG fert in iti n trace amounts. I also threw the reciept away my bad. I have used MG in the past ( actually my first grow) and would never use none of there nutes it burned my plant. I followed directons too. You see the Nitrogen they use in their fert is derived from Ammonium Nitrate. Not cool at all! SO Im kinda against MG. So At the moment of purchase I thought it was just perlite.. Next time I will buy Fox Farms Perlite thats some good perlite. Well we all learn from mistakes dont we. As for now Im not going to throw away my MG Perlite. I will continue to flush with gallons of water.

the tiny amount of chemical ferts in there will not bother your microbes
most microbes, beneficial included, are far tougher than that
i did the same exact thing that you did, didn't pay attention to the label
and i have fried a plant in MG soil(MGMC)
you're letting the MG name get to your head
i used 15% of the mg perlite in organic grows that have gone great, the plants can't read labels

Perhaps it is a perspective deal, but the MG Perlite I use does not look like white stones like yours.

However, I started my seeds in it and they are flourishing.

Use a clay pot with a hole in the bottom.
Fill it with perlite.
Then fill it with water (setting it in a bowl of water is the really only good way), there will be a runoff of the perlite when you lift up the pot leaving a 1/4 inch or so of airspace below the plant.
Plant your seed/plant
fill a shallow bowl with a half inch of water
set the clay pot in the water

try to not raise the vlay pot out of the bowl until the plant is about 5" tall, then the root system will br in place and you won't have more runoff.

Now I am a casual hobbyist of the 420 society. I don't have any great hydropnic system, or an entire rig set up. I grow maybe 2 plants at a time for my own medicinal use. And it's working out pretty good.

This has worked very well for me. Perlite dries quickly with fans and lites. In one day my newbies will dry out. With the perlite and the fact I have that open space, I can sit the plant in a bowl filled up of water. I use clay pots so they absorb the water faster, yet the plant will not be overwatered. That little space on the bottom is where the roots can reach down searching for moisture. A win win situation.

I was wondering though, will I ever need additional nutes? I just ordered some stuff with all kinds of worm casings and yukky inner treats for my plants from Hydro Galaxy. Large breeders highly recommend it. Did I juust waste $45?

Also, will I need to flush my plants at the end of the cycle since I use perlite? I would think not since it is so wel airrated.
