Are you looking at the lights from inductionlamps.com? Or maybe hydroponicshut.com? I'm interested in seeing what you are trying to get.

Plasma-I.com

Not messing about with induction lighting(not plasma) and definently not buying into some Luxim engine metal halide plasma that lacks reds.

Straight up sulfur plasma baby!

UPDATE TIME!

Busy day tomorrow, so a day early for week four. Enjoy the pics! the girl just got a drink of compost tea and nutrient, hopefully i dont burn her haha. She is frosting up already which is definently a good sign. Im very happy with this AK48, my last ones were fighting me the whole way.

I get more and more pleased with this light as the week goes by!

I update the cab slightly. I covered the wood sides (standard particle board slightly sealed) with mylar on both sides. The door and the back wall are painted white. It seems to have increased light, but no idea really. All the little things add up in the end, why sacrifice needlessly?

Wow looks fantastic! Those kittehs are curious lol

What kind of screen did you use? Looks like an upside down basket lol but it looks like it's working too.

Damn! Looking absolutely great! I bet your cat is about as curious as my Beagle. Every time I'm in my grow closet the dog is peeking around from behind me lol. Can't wait till they start smelling up and she REALLY gets curious. She she does love her MJ

Thanks all.

The screen is indeed a closet organizer basket cut down slightly and flipped. It was 14$ from home depot and is, IMO, perfect for this size. It is perfectly sized and the holes are very well suited for this grow, perhaps a tiny bit small. I attached the screen to the pot so i can just take it in and out and everything stays how it should be.

And yeah the cats love this cabinet. Every picture time the are here, at least part of one is in almost every picture i have of this plant haha. The little kitten likes to climb in under the scrog when im not looking. Its very difficult to get her out, especially because she looks so happy in there hahaah.

The big plant killer is my ferrets though, if they get into the plant are it's bye bye planty.

The mini scrog is awesome, may have to set one of those up!

Man it's just fun to come home to. I have a decent grow in another area, but i just love micro stuff. It's just a fun challenge and novelty.

Tomorrow, if i get time, I'm going to add a diy co2 setup. Piping it directly into the intake vent or perhaps right to the canopy. I'm not expecting anything huge, but like everything it all adds up, not to mention it's fun for me.

I'm really shooting for higher g/w on this grow, so if i can help it along the way then why not :)

Hi Karr, its looking good :) nice work for the space you have :) I look forward to seeing those buds really start to thrive, Have you used your LED panal to Flower before? ..If so how did it do ?? - STELTHY :leaf:

Got the co2 working, see some bubbles going. Also rerouted the ventilation to increase the temperature. Should hold mid 80s now which should help to increase the absorption abilities. Next step would be to increase humidity, but I'm reluctant to do that because of how tight everything is. I would need to address circulation better to keep mould possibilities down.

Has anyone seen decent increase without ideal humidity from 1500ppm co2? also does anyone know at what point co2 is a hindrance? I believe it to be pretty high, but i do plan to overdo the mixture amounts as I'm not running a sealed cab, somewhat close though.

Thanks all

Stealthy, no i haven't flowered with this alone. I have used it multiple times as supplemental lighting, most recently next to a 600hps, 400cmh and the led. That is the reason i did not add UVB bulbs, i really want to see what this light can do without any supplementation at all. From what i see so far, it really looks like a keeper.

Edit: i have vegged with this light alone with great results. Nice tight bushes, great node spacing, and easy to manage. The downfall to vegging with this light is that, as with all LEDs, it's very hard to see what the leaves really look light for deficiencies etc. Being able to take the plants out into sunlight helps a lot for this. Generally now though i can run a full cycle without deficiencies. This grow was my first "organic" grow, so I messed up a bit early on.

I've never understood how an animal so furry could be so slippery.. Haha. When my cat gets stuck under my reclining chair (lol) I have to reach in there to pull him out.

Cats, man.

Yeah cats can suck. One of my cats just puked off my cab onto the jug of nute solution i had mixed next to it. ugh

Here is my DIY co2 generator. Temps are holding at 85-87, humidity is still low. These pics are when i just inoculated the big jar with active yeast, so no bubbles at that time. Today i get a constant stream of bubbles through the bubble bottle. I closed off all the lower vents and put both fans up top. the stronger one being exhaust (after a fast 101 degree scare) and the smaller being the intake. Also i made a small passive intake at the top as well. I still need to address circulation down below, havent decided what i will do there yet. i wish i could get a micro oscillating fan haha.

The bud shot is just showing the development of the average bud, not exactly huge by any standard, but keep in mind its still only 4 weeks in.

I swear that thing is a co2 generator, not a bomb haha

Update is not happening today, Likely wednesday.

I am having a hard time keeping temps above 75, so it's likely that the Co2 will be of little or no benefit, i am not giving up though. Perhaps disabling the active intake and running strictly passive will help.

A small ceramic heater could help for a very small investment :D

Very true and good idea. Do you know if the small/cheap ones have built in thermostat?

The problem is that the light area is around 10deg+ warmer than the grow area, interesting to see how well the lower area is staying separated to spite the lack of a partition. The problem with the heater is that i don't really have much floor space to spare, as you can imagine :P

I will look into it for certain, thanks for the suggestion.

As a side note, for the next grow i have two routes i havent decided which it will be.

One is to run this cab again, just like it is, and add a few UVB bulbs, this will add the uvb i like, and a little heat, though the time most people keep uvb bulbs on would likely not add any staying heat.

The second idea that i might dedicate the cabinet to is the use of Far red LEDs (730+) to facilitate short night periods. I plan to keep it a simple experiment, using two digital timers rather than a micro-controller for simplicity's sake. The daytime light will be the spectra 120 while the far red will be handled by about 15w of DIY 730nm led, or i might possibly go to the 800s to reduce the possibility of the led dipping below IR and into visible which would negate the concept. I intend on running a 10 on 2 off, so 2 cycles each day. The IR leds will be on for an undetermined amount of time early in the dark hours which will cause the photo-chrome to convert early on and the remaining dark period will be primarily for the plant to detect the abundance of pfr and signal that it has had a full night of conversion, and as such is ready for the following day when the light flips again in an hour and a half or so (maybe 30 min max of IR light).

I dunno, lots of things to think about. Test uvb or test 730+ nm /short nights.
I suppose i could throw the uvb lights on the main grow, which really i should be doing anyway.

I picked one up at a dept store no bigger than a 6 pack of beer.
