That's the plan. Take some cuttings, try to root them and stick them in the woods to see what happens. Try to make some seeds if possible, to begin making my own strains just to say I did. I got my father kinda helping me with this. He is gonna help me pay for a few seeds because he wants some free stuff. Hopefully things start working better for my mini garden. I moved them closer to the light so they're only like an inch away from the led. They seem to like it tho. My lights aren't super strong so o can get them super close. That means I can do more in that tiny space. I plan on training to completely fill the box with bud sites before flipping flower.

Could anyone tell me if there's something wrong with my mystery seed? It has been through cold temps and is now getting into the 70s in my room finally. Are the leaves curling under part of over watering or is it a toxicity? I am only using organic dry fertilizer and the leaves were like this before putting any in the soil. Is it just a weird pheno or something?

Yea its hard to judge without some sort of numbers on PAR values etc. just keep a close eye on them and if they start looking unhappy/droopy back the light up again usually even if its a weak light you want to keep it at least 12 inches or so from seedlings until they have a few sets of leaves, that's been my experience and I usually start them under a weak full spectrum fluorescent.

Some Low stress training would definitely be good, you could try it with a combo of a topping technique but I've replanted mine in a bigger container partially sideways then its easier to bend it the rest of the way to horizontal and just trim the underside branches and grow it out that way with good success.

A chicken farmer gave a box of 6 100-watt equivalent 2700K e26 LEDs after I gave him about 1/4 oz of some Choco Kush and Red Dragon that I grew. I scrounged up some 4-gallon square pails from where chicken farms had placed rodent baits and discarded the pails. I'd love to join your cash crippled crop clan but I'm a hydro only grower and am currently in my rig on the road with 4 Flash Seeds Stardust auto regulars doing nicely in vermiculite in a Popeyes Chicken large side container next to a couple cuttings that I took from some Red Diesel that I can only hope Sherry is taking good care of back home. With all that I grew her, I kinda doubt she thinks of much at all after work but being nearly pain-free thanks to some good Indica from Amsterdam Genetics. I don't smoke pot but I sure do respect its abilities.

Good luck to all the participants here. Sorry to have to bow out of the organic budget grow. Lord knows I have access to some excellent tools for it. I pull a hopper bottom trailer usually loaded with stuff like bone meal, blood meal, poultry meal, peanut hulls, soybean meal... The list goes on and usually in the right direction.

If you'd like, you can still join in. It'd be interesting to see what you can do with cheap hydro setup. Every hydro system I've seen is a bit too expensive for me, so I stick with dirt and organic fertilizers. If you do decide you'd like to join us, my only request is you use cheap ass nutrients so if someone like me wants to try it out, we know what we can expect with cheap nutrients. Good luck on your grow, and I hope this run is even better than the last

Going to see what some cheap parts from China can do. I am thinking of using a switching power supply to feed a step up (voltage) converter into a 100W cob(warm white). We will see what they can do and maybe it will be enough for a single plant.

I was thinking about checking out those eBay cobs but I didn't want to spend any money if it wasn't guaranteed to be an upgrade to my current lights. I would love to see what you can yield with the cheap cobs

Does not ship to Canada. I looked up a similar 20W bulb and $3.18 US each, not bad way to go. I already bought the others already, just though it might be interesting to see how they work. I bought them to augment the strip lighting I am using.

That's crappy,... but sounds like you've some ingenuity and created a solution already. Good work! :bigjoint:

I used them to supplement as well. Will be doing away with them totally (I think) next grow...
