my sisters boyfriend of 2 years ended up walking into my room, finding out about the grow op. less than 2 weeks later my sister dumps him on bad terms, and he joked about telling.
my mentality is if he joked about it he'd do it, so i'm not taking any risks. i'll be back in a month or so, and will do even better hopefully.
Safety first i understand , i have ended a couple of grow myself

WE'RE BACK!!
after a long few months i've gained the courage to start up my plants again. this time in hydro. here's what i got so far
3x chocolate frosted sherb
3x Purple frosting
they're all in all about 4 weeks in.
I've decided to go the hydro route this time, currently i'm just using the kratky method with a bit of a twist.
instead of letting my plant drink up all the water, i'll keep the water level the same, by adding fresh ph'd nutrient water to their redsolocup that they sit in. this has been working very well for me, but i have a better plan. i'm gonna have 6 mason jars, all with airstones at the bottom of them, holding the plant. before i hear someone say something about the roots being exposed to light, i will have the mason jar covered with a black sock.
i have one plant going into flower currently as an experiment. i have topped most of the plants atleast once at this point, i've topped one of them twice, i think she has some really nice node structure this pic is so satisfying to me.

don't mind the few pieces of cat hair in the picture...
my other plants are also doing pretty good.

one or two are drooping currently due to either d/o issues or N. tox i think. the clawing looks all too familiar from the n tox. claw, then again i placed these two said plants in a bigger container and thats' when they started getting these symptoms.

i'll try and keep things a bit more updated nd clean in here like it was before, i was just eager to post this as i forgot about my journal that i said i'd continue once i started up again.

Cool to see someone else playing with Kratky. I did some outdoor, late season plants with Kratky totes, they did just fine, and were super low maintenance.

Good luck.

I'll be following along... looking to start some of my Honest gear pretty soon. I'll probably be doing 12/12 from seed in coco, but would like to eventually set up a flood and drain in a proper tent...only have a 2x2x4 at the moment to get started/used to indoor growing.

To start, probably ScarJo and Oregon Orange Punch. I'd like to run Mint Chocolate Chip bx and Purple Frosting too, but don't feel like dealing with males right now.
if i get a male, i'm gonna keep one of them so that i can get some pollen and make some seeds next run. i don't mind the males, i feel like they can give some good practice.

Oh yeah, no doubt. I've got a tiny tent right now, this will be mymfirst go indoor, so I would prefer to work with fems only until I get something bigger and can do more plants.

well well well. update time.
i looked into root rot more, i found something on another forum saying that you can dunk it in 3% hydrogen peroxide at 2.5tsp/gal, replace your grow media/clean resevior, then place back into nutrients, and it may help. i'm praying that it does. i did this with all 6 of my plants but one that doesn't have any symptoms.

Something to consider...when I ran some Kratky tubs outside, I added a bit of Pond-zyme to the reservoir to combat algae and root pathogens. As far as I know it worked well, as it stopped the algae in its tracks and I never encountered any root rot issues. For $14 on Amazon, it's worth a shot.

i'm gonna go with that then, definetly. how do you dose it personally?
i should have all my new equipment coming in soon. i got 4 plants left that aren't dead, two of them i'm trying to clone atm.
I haven't used it personally, I just know it comes highly recommended. From what I've read, it was suggested to mix at a ratio of 1:20 Garden Friendly Fungicide to water, then add that mix at a rate of 1ml/gallon of reservoir water.

i'm gonna go with hydroguard, only because it seems to be a bit easier to dose.
i'm gonna be using jack's hydro nutrients soon, i got lots of stuff coming in the mail, 230 dollars worth lol. can't wait to get my system functioning correctly finally.
