I grew this bud in a tent in a greenhouse. Don't ask why but that is the set up. Started around Christmas and just harvest beginning of March.
In retrospect. I believe growing in the tent in the greenhouse may have had something to do with the quality of the high. Southern California tends to get very cold in the winter and it was routinely in the low to mid 30's at night this past winter. With the lights on I believe the temperature in the tent was around 60 degrees or even less at the time. During the day, the opposite effect occurs. Temps as high as the low 80s at times. Inside the tent, add another 10 degrees and it was routinely 90 or more even with the lights off. These were grown at a 18/6 light cycle with 6 hours off during peak daylight hours of 11am to 5 pm to stay cooler.
I believe this may have been the result of lesser terp effects on the high and just weak ass high in general.
But that being said, if I had to do so again. I would not grow this producer. I still think there is something about the ruderalis genetics that is making this bud not seem like 100% to me.
I am still waiting for Piff Coast Farms to give me an update on my order of Midnight Mass which I placed and order and venmoed $150 on March 8th.
In the meantime all of the Slurricane #7, Blueberry Cheese, and Black Sugar Rose that I germinated in some cheap Chinese soil I bought from Amazon has died after popping a few days ago.
I feel like most of the seedbanks are just posers in a sea full of posers. I was really hoping Mr Piff Coast would come through but he has been a disappointment so far.
I've heard about this CSI Humboldt now. Has anyone actually ordered from them and had a good experience? Man this relying on the Internets for your marijuana hobby is so sketchy at times. I have blown a lot of money chasing something which leads to nothing. Seems like everyone has the bomb on the internet. But we know in real life that is not true. From CSI Humboldt, I've read about Triangle Kush S1 and Chemdog 91, Pine Tar Kush, and 79 xmas Bud. Are these legit old school type highs here or some poser weed?
. I was a little wound up yesterday from the prednisone shot in my back. But i do know what its like to gripe a seed company 'cough.. ilgm.. cough' . I just wish I could figure out how to help him get what hes after. If hes wanting old school i figure somebody Iike CSI Humboldt or Sensi might have something to match his taste. Hey! Maybe Bodhi. Ive heard his stuff is flame with some old school flavors available. Oh well. Maybe im a little ( a lot lol) biased. I wish him luck. I wish them all luck. I agree that nothing tastes like it used to. Ahhh, those were some good strains. Whos hiding Christmas Bud '79? We'll find you... maybe.. 'tip my hat to the lady.
