Meijiu LED Quantum Board is pulling less than half the proper watts!? WTF?

Today I tested the wattage of 4 of my lights, and two of them were totally wrong. On previous tests, they were correct at around 225 watts each.

The problems were with a Meijiu 240 watt light and another 240 by a white label brand which are a bit over 1 year old, and with Meanwell drivers.

1. The Meijiu LED light turned on at 240 watts and then flickered and went down to 120 watts a few seconds later
2. The white label branded one turned on at 85 watts and stayed at only 85 watts

The dimmers were fully in the strongest position.

What could be the problem? The boards are no longer under the 1 year warranty, however the drivers are still under the 5 year warranty. Might be something wrong with the drivers?

if it lights, then likely the driver still functions, most likely the dimmers, take them out of circuit and see if it full powers, if not, then possibly the driver does have some issue, although two failing together, seems hard to see it

@welight thanks for chiming in, you are much appreciated! I tried what you suggested and it worked!!!!!!!!!!

Now I wonder why this happened. These dimmers seem to fail fast if we adjust them too aggressively? Or just normal wear over time?

In any case, the merchant will be sending me 2 replacement dimmers.

Thanks again mate

sadly the race to the bottom on price of lights means cutting corners, chinese POTS are piss poor and a common failure
cheers

I hope they send you better dimmers, if not (IMO) don't use them & get something better locally.

Good luck
How can I find a better dimmer? What to search for?

They sent me the shitty ones again, that look like this:

I plugged in the corresponding wire to the push-connector and closed it, and it didnt work. I contacted the seller again, who told me to put the side hold instead!? (see below -- is that serious???)

All the 0-10v dimmers seem pretty much similar or the same.

Anyways I tried to connect the replacements ones that they gave me and I kept seeing the same problem:

The dimmers didnt work and they even messed up the light wattage output, so that very little light was emitting.

What can be going on here?
