I grabbed some calimagic the other day.....who was saying there is a cal mag supplement with no Nitrogen in it 0%? I was using a 2% N cal mag but this stuff is 1%..so somewhat less. would like a zero N product.
It's called Flowering CalMag by Mendocino GrowMore.

1% though is literally nothing. It's good enough for me because the flowering CalMag I'm pretty sure is far more expensive.

Yes that's right...thanks Airwalker. Have you looked into the price at all. But yes your right 1% is as low as is needed I'm sure.
I just checked and see it's about $200 CDN doe the 2.5 gal jug. So about 3 times the price as What I just bought. Seems like a " only we have this stuff " type price.
Does seem available in Canada. I didn't find a seller here anyway.

Yah, if I can get 1% at least instead of MC Pro CalMags 13%, I figure it's a fair alternative. I still can not understand why most supplements include so much N.

I was looking to see what the Greenleaf calmag is but don't see it listed.
I heard of calimagic but don't know much about it. Someone here must be using it.
Not even sure if I need it. I was trying to use mine up and thought I'd see if it helps. It might be.
CaliMagic is GH product. Check out Magical by Technaflora https://www.technaflora.com/indexProduct.php?ID=103 , I'll have to check my cost but I think its cheaper than most of the CalMag products on the market. Use to be really popular around 2005-2009 but then the sales of it stopped, not sure why. I can probably get samples of it as Technaflora warehouse is 15 feet away from my shop and the owner sometimes comes into my shop.

CaliMagic is significantly less expensive than MagiCal. Also, it is 2% N, therefore another reason to go with GH.

Hippy and I found the N percentage to be a whopping 13% in the MegaCrop Pro CalMag.

Pretty sure my wholesale cost is cheaper on the Magical, I don't sell much of it anymore but I'm trying to get my customers on it as Hawthorne is doing bunch of stuff I'm not fond off in this industry so not promoting their products anymore if I don't have to. I mostly sell Botanicare CalMag and sucks as I like Botanicare but again they're owned by Hawthorne now.

epsom salts is magnesium sulphate, not magnesium and calcium.

the Cal-mag supplements are really way over priced IMO.

You can easily use Dolomite lime which is essentially calcium and magnesium, but you'll need to use the finest grade available. It breaks down relatively slowly and is not immediately available to the plants. Works excellent for gaden beds, but not as well for containergardening for short lived plants.

For immediate correction of a magnesium defieciency, use Epsom salts
"Magnesium sulfate is a chemical compound containing magnesium and sulfate, with the formula MgSO4. In its hydrated form the pH is 6.0 (5.5 to 7.0). It is often encountered as the heptahydrate, MgSO4·7H2O, commonly called Epsom salt."

For immediate correction of (the more rare) calcium deficiency use calcium peroxide.

Most chemical fertilizers supply ample Mg and Ca, although some companies sell a Cal-Mag solution separately to extract more money out of your pockets.

The vast majority of Mg deficiencies you seen on these forums is due to too low of a pH, which causes the Mg to be locked out and thus unavailable to the plant, resulting in a deficiency

Cannabis does however require a vast amount of Mg compared to other plants, so it's not a bad idea to add some epsom salts to your water every now and then.. especially if your leaves start to grow thin and ridged with a lime green colour as opposed to a darker shade.

How much Calcium is in CaliMagic? They don't put it on the label and the website is unhelpful.

Calcium Peroxide is not that cheap and very few companies sell it anymore. I actually got like 50kg of it sitting at my shop lol it was expensive to buy I think it was $700-800 for a 60Kg box. Also calcium peroxide is used in making bread :)

After raising my PH to 6.1-6.3 most of all my issues disappeared.

Hmm.. I've never not used CalMag in RDWc setup so I truly don't know how I'd fare without it. But things always are very happy, healthy, and colorful. Plus, I use a fair amount too.
1tsp per gallon. Which is basically what you add of the other 3 parts as well throughout the whole run besides a few half a tsp more or less here or there at certain stages. So it really is a large part, 20 if not 25%, of the total liquid nutrient being added to each gallon.
So I've always felt like it was very important. Especially since I start with 0ppm reverse osmosis water.
