I pre mix mine in a little bowl with warm water. Mix it up with a spoon. It does dissolve good.
I to grabbed a big bag of mega crop 2 nights ago but I did notice the Canada mega site match the price.
One thing they need to get in stock is a big bag of bud explosion. 750g don't last me all that long but I have many plants though to......

I can't figure out why the MUCH more expensive bottled nutes simply didn't work as well for me. Yes, they did work pretty decent in most cases. But still this stuff is producing better results for a fraction of the price of the water in bottles with some nutes added. I followed all the instructions. Did my measurements. Followed all the guidelines. And I've used 4 different brands in the last 10 years or so.
This stuff rocks compared to any things else.
As @gb123 has been saying here for years. The powders are the way to go. He means the old Homegrown Hydroponics salts they used to sell and maybe still do. I used those in the 80's but was never good at getting it all just right. So this 1 part MC is like a penny from heaven. Good for cavemen.

They still sell them but they are a 6 part formulation, so good luck with that lol. Cheaper than MC, but it is missing all the added goodness MC has. Plus there is so much waste as you only mix X part to Y parts...

Ya I used those. Quite confusing for me anyway. Get it wrong and you don't know what you did wrong. I agree Mega Crop is a much easier and better way to go.

As long as they sell it, I'll use it...:) Won't go back to work on Maggie's farm with bottled water...
Got to agree. After trying a bunch of other nutes always hoping for better products it just seems pointless. Plus I'm not the only one who is getting better or at least as good a results. For me it's better.
Too bad the main MC thread was deleted. Lots of good info in it. So far I've not heard of even one person saying that they are using something better and going to quit MC. That's a good sign to me. I like hearing how it works for others as that's quite informative for me.

Is anyone getting fallout in their res with Mega Crop? I'm using the new formula with sweet candy + drip clean and noticing some sediment at the bottom of my res. Is there a technique to dissolving it better? I've heard some say to use warm water... But I mix large batches.. 750g to 150 gallons of water. How much water to MC should I use to pre-mix this amount?

You could chuck a water pump in there on 24/7 just to keep things stirring. Even better if you can make it waterfall a bit to oxygenate the water.

I do keep a circulation pump in there but still noticing sediment. Not sure if it's the drip clean or if I need to do something to dissolve the MC better

I’ve noticed after mixing a batch then leaving it the next day it is cloudy on bottom...
The milk jugs I use have a brown coating when they sit 1/2 full for a few days. My 5 gallon tote also have a crusty brown ring at the opening, because I lay it down to fill the milk jugs, for taking to the other grow upstairs. Warm water works well but once it cools the is a film usually. I notice you can scrub it offer without too much effort but that depends on your circumstances.
Oh, also my 5 gallon tote gets cloudy when I am near the bottom.

I get the same light beige coating.
What are the thoughts on this MC being Nitrogen heavy. Did they add more in the version 2 ?

they fucked up the 6 pack 30 years ago

they changed the micro nutes ....
works OK but not like it used to. We used to buy it by bulk on Orenda drive but they made it illegal to buy calcium nitrate in bulk for people without a license..you can buy it in small amounts at hydro stores though.
lol

Just got my bag delivered, 2 days with prime ain’t bad! Interesting tho the ingredients list seams to be different from what the last label showed. Doesn’t list any chitosan or b vitamins or kelp extract. Curious if they have removed these from the product or just left them off label for some reason? Thoughts? For those who have used the old formula, be interested in hearing if you see any difference with the new formula.

Finished my first bag of version 1 stuff. It was getting pretty gooey. I even mixed it with version 2 and it still was gooey.
Version 2 seems very stable and nothing like the first version. I've had version 2 in a bucket with loose lid for weeks and it hasn't changed at all. Still dry and not clumped or wet at all.
Makes ya wonder how this was achieved if it is basically the same stuff??
