Yep. The old formula is seriously lacking in mg. Epsom salt should take care of it. I heard from another member that the new formula also needs epsom salt supplementation. Especially under led which I grow under.
I tried 5g/gal and I did not like how green the plants got. That dosage still lacked mg. So, I had to supplement mg. I stay around 4.5g/gal (veg and flower)and when the plant starts to show deficiencies I supplement that element. Still way cheaper than anything else I use.
which specific leds are you under? what is your medium ? i run 3k kelvin 3590's & 1 5k kelvin 3590 & use an old mix of canna coco, promix, fox farm soils, basically just old dirt from grows past, kinda no till in a way.

I use Atreum 288v2 (lm301b diodes), 3000k. I also use far red (730), in the flower tent, and a HLG-300 v1,3000k, in the veg tent dimmed to lowest setting. In the flower tent I bumped the mg ppms by 40-50 ppms. In the veg tent I think I added 30 ppms but im still having mg def on almost all the veg plants. I think Ill bump it by 40 ppms of mg today. With the 4.5 grams of mc it has about 20 ppms of mg. I think the sweet spot for leds is 60-70ppms total of mg. I grow in straight coco. Contrary to popular belief coco does not "deny" ca and mg. The are both positively charged so the coco accepts them rather than not like many people tend to think.

Thanks. I've never tried them, but will see what it's all about.
Once you try it youll never go back LOL. Theres been some in the greenleaf thread that couldnt figure it in their hydro sytems and other reasons. They went back to supporting General Hydroponics which is owned by Monsanto so fuck GH.

Yeah I floliar mc but only on my clones. When they start to yellow out I spray them with a stong phd solution.
Are you adding anything to your mc? Like epsom etc?

it is absolutely the best shit, no if's and's or buts. Im amazed each round I use it. Won't argue, use what you will, but this stuff is the best one part, easy peasy stuff I've ever seen. Not hard to dial in, ain't had to pull any yeller leaves. Just great, especially for the price. Last of the really good deal that aren't freebies. lol

yes, the first batch i cut in half with epsom, this new blend one i mixed in a fourth initially. i am too lazy to do ppms, and appreciate the fact that you measure out.

Ok guys major update. Greenleaf is having a poll over at AFN. Theyre thinking about adding EDTA to MC. That or make it a 50/50 of edta and amino acid chelated ingredients. I like it how it is so if you guys do too, you can voice your opinion over there.

I'd say they will make two formulas, even if its true. I doubt they would put shit in there they just said they wouldn't use. Everyone is jumpin the gun on the negatives today, not just here. Please post the quote they said it, else its just heresay.

The solubilization of Fe3+ ions at or below near neutral pH can be accomplished using EDTA. This property is useful in agriculture including hydroponics. However, given the pH dependence of ligand formation, EDTA is not helpful for improving iron solubility in above neutral soils.[7] Otherwise, at near-neutral pH and above, iron(III) forms insoluble salts, which are less bioavailable to susceptible plant species. Aqueous [Fe(edta)]− is used for removing ("scrubbing") hydrogen sulfide from gas streams. This conversion is achieved by oxidizing the hydrogen sulfide to elemental sulfur, which is non-volatile:

2 [Fe(edta)]− + H2S → 2 [Fe(edta)]2− + S + 2 H+
In this application, the iron(III) center is reduced to its iron(II) derivative, which can then be reoxidized by air. In similar manner, nitrogen oxides are removed from gas streams using [Fe(edta)]2−. The oxidizing properties of [Fe(edta)]− are also exploited in photography, where it is used to solubilize silver particles.[8]
