Megacrop dry nutes in dwc

Right. Usually by the time add my nutrients there's plenty buffer for stable ph. I very rarely have to adjust with gh flora. Usually only at low ppm like the 300 ppm seedling week. My only concern is the high level of I guess calcium or lime. It tends to solidify on the fridge where it drips from the water spout leading me to think it may be pretty high in calcium even though it's untreated well water. I guess I could ask the water manager to send me the required annual certification results

Edit: I can't stand the ro/di water for drinking. It has a weird mouth texture. Like it's almost slimy for lack of a better descriptor
when was the last time you checked your ROs ppm/tds?

RO should be your base water to which add proper minerals, not whatever crap the municipality adds

So far with MC, Lovin It!! Can I use some sweet Candy in DWC? Our should I stay away from that due to it having the beneficial bacteria?? I don't want to screw up in bloom. My answer was probably in the Megacrop Area 51 Thread, That Disappeared:cuss: LOL . Thanks

I like to use Maxigro/Maxibloom powder. Gives me some control over NPK throughout the grow. It costs more than Megacrop but about half price of bottle nutes.

If I remember correctly Megacrop has almost the same NPK values as Maxigro, so one option would be to use Megacrop/Maxibloom to adjust NPK in mid/late flower.

I liked Maxibloom powder as well, Used lots over the years {Maxibloom = Lucas} If I wanted more N I just added a bit of Calnit. But it always seemed like it was just Lacking a little bit in some areas, For me under twin 600's. Bud's always looked Great for sure. But where Mega-grow really Stood Out was after the {Same} slow drying and Jar cure. We feel Mega really improved the trerp's = smell and has less throat, And more -flavor- and is a generally - A- smoother definitely tastier smoke. Currently running Pink Guerilla and Sour Boggle. That's {our personal take} in our comparison. This is from the same strains from the same mothers using Both brand's of nutes. Me and my buddy swap cut's from our mothers that we swap back and forth. Both running the Same exact set-up's, Including the same municipal water source. And just to see out of curiosity? I went from clone into a 4 week vegg, And flipped Into 3 weeks of bloom so far? So 7 weeks and counting {And have yet to do a reservoir change} on this currant run! I just keep adding back what they eat in this grow, I want to push it hard and see how long it will go?:o Ph has yet to be a problem so far? It's checked every day, I am anal with that! As I'm retired now, I let it swing from 5.7 thru 6.3 then knock it down again, With my 90+ Furnace pure condensate water that has a PH of about 3, So fellas save that Water if you heat with these new furnaces!! Don't let in run down the drain!! I do still keep phosphoric PH down on hand but rarely use it, I could not ever myself manage to run a Res that long with Maxi B, So we give it a Definite Strong +1 Compared To Maxibloom. Way back in the early 80's there was a dry nute  Very very similar to Mega as far as looks and even smell, Gotta Love That Smell! That's what we used, That was Really Good stuff, But it fell to the wayside and disappeared when the liquid nutes came on the scene {As the Best Thing since sliced bread :finger: Ya right screw buying water} I still ask myself when I open the bag if it was, recreated or resurrected?? from that old stuff? That's how close it compare's when i smell it from my memory. We will never know ??? Whatever works for you use it! Enjoy it!!! Life's To Short !! And may your Bud's be Tight !!!!!!!!!!! Michigan Rocks!

I've got a Mephisto Genetics Samsquanch OG at just under two months old in a 5 gallon DWC bucket using nothing but Mega Crop. I'm also only using filtered tap water. 5 micron Sediment and Carbon block filtered. I ran 20 grams per 5gallon bucket for the first two weeks then upped to the max dosing recommended of 30 grams per 5 gallon bucket.

it kicks ass when the thing you want to buy is already on your shelf

I have a clone arriving today and I'm going to put it in a 5 gallon bucket. You started with 20g of megacrop in a 5 gallon bucket from beginning right? I was going to do more like 5g to start out. That's a big difference, so let me know if you can.

20 Grams would be fine IF you were using a {Full 5 gals of water}, But more than likely your not. I would suggest you use the Calculator gram per gallon, then bump up until, tip burn. Then back-off acoridly! Google or copy and paste it will take you right their {greenleafnutrients feeding-calculator} They are not a site sponsor so I cannot post a Link!! because of Rollitup's Silly Games!!!!!. Just As we Lost tons of pages and pages of the all the Important Data we had accumulated for all to Use!! {Silliness} Best looking plants I have personally seen and used from Veg to Flower from 1 nute for sure!! You will Like it. ----------------- Ohh Ya I'm not a sponsor! And Pay for my Nutes as well!!! Just like all of US.

Thanks, I estimated it to be nearly 3.5 gallons that i'm using, and I dosed to that.

IMO, aside from N and K, Megacrop has a poor blend of everything else. This is 4 grams per gallon, 5 would likely be better, but then you'd have too much N.

If you're going to go through the hassle of mixing salts to get better numbers, might as well buy all the salts and mix in what you need and skip using anybody's blend.

More or less, everything except N and K. It should be no surprise that canna can survive in almost any environment and do well despite enduring various deficiencies or toxicities, but that does imply that she can do better if her diet is ideal all across the board. FWIW, I use to chop thick chunky ass chongers like you have pictured when using GH, but I also remember my leaves always looked like shit and expressed many different problems that I didn't know how to fix.

My new aim is to be very intentional with what I give, and how much of each so as not to over drive any element or under feed either. If you learn how to use Hydro Buddy, you can crunch the numbers of every brand both wet and dry and compare the numbers. I joined RIU recently to learn this information as I needed to Q&A a few growers because this info was not on 420 where I've been blogging and growing for many years prior.

I'm not trying to come off as sucking my own dick, I'm just happy to possess good info and am willing to share for karma's sake. I made a tutorial on 420 about how to use Hydro Buddy so that each grower can make more informed decisions based on budget and availability. I wasted a lot of money on various salt blends such as Jack's and JR Peter's and have concluded that like GH, those blends are tailored to kind of cater to all crops, but I want my nutes tailored to cannabis only.

This was a recent harvest of Barney's Triple Cheese grown under 6 Vero29 COBs driven to 75% power from a 480 watt driver. The tote in the picture weighs 511 grams. I netted a few grams less than 20 dry ounces from that one plant. Great genetics for sure, and the smoke was sweet like a nice smooth cheesecake. FWIW, you can probably amend your Megacrop with just Epsom to fill out the magnesium requirements to 50ppm and throttle the sulfur which is the most influential element for taste and odor.

My goal is to have perfect leaves and stems. I don't even look at the buds anymore. I just want evenly green leaves throughout the whole bloom cycle until flush. It's a work in progress, but I am inches away.

For how long did you veg and for how long did you flower this plant?
And what was the plant surface?

I veged for about 10 weeks, flowered for 8 and I don't understand what you're asking about the surface? If by surface you mean media, then potted rockwool grow chunks, top fed recirculating.
