Hey, I am curious. I have seen a few threads where people talk of sending cuttings. I know some folks are legal grwers so it makes a little sense that they can send cuttings, or at least reduces the risk. But how do you send cutting without the risk? I am just curious. I am still hesitant to order seeds, let alone try to have a cutting shipped to me.

so i am guessing that when you get them you just re cut them, dip in hormone, plant and keep her humid for 12/12? i know that there is mor to it but these are the basics right? sorry kinda baked right now. :-)

Sounds good MS, i think making Delia the sacrifice would be a good idea, better safe then sorry. Them mites can be a hassle, i just hope i dont run into them. But im sureyou will get everything under control.

I had a quick questions for you, i will be upgrading my lil set up to about 500 watts of CFL's, so i was wondering if your set up made any difference in the electricity bill? I kno CFL's do use up that much, but i just wanted to see how much, if anything they used.

Keep us posted, and good luck with fighting those damn mites!

im pretty sure its watts for watts, 400w of cfl's uses just as much as a 400w hps.

at one point in my last grow i had 750w of cfl's !! and that hit my meter pretty hard:o

:peace:

Yeah? I always thought even with CFL's its used less electricity

EDIT: yeah i meant to put i kno they dont not do lol

maybe its place to place, another guy im following is using 400 watts, and he says it dosnt even make a difference on his bill, he lives in North Carolina USA

Hi JS,

Yes, straight out of the packet, re cut the angle cut, dipped in 'Clonex' gel and into my little transparent pots (then you know when the new roots hit the sides). I'm using 75% perlite and 25% fine soil in those pots. Theyre now under just 20 watts of blue CFL's, closed up in the small cab to keep humidity high, you can see the moisture forming on the plastic film that covers them. 2 weeks or so should see first roots :-) I actually keep them under 18/6, more to keep them warm.

Sicc, tam,

My old grow used 600watts of HPS, 400watts of enviro CFL's, plus 2 inline fans. When I set this little one up we changed all of the household bulbs to energy savers, mixed the spectrum a little for balanced lighting and our bills fell dramatically overall! I don't even notice the 400watts this box pulls at all.

HPS ballasts also draw power I understand, in addition to the bulbs. But yes, basically "watts is watts" :-)

Decided to chop Delia today and strip/clean down the box. Pictures later.

whats up with you, light it up, use loads of electric, burn the planet up
..... You allright del mate? :-P what you been smoking? :weed:

Well, Delia has been chopped and is going to be left outdoors to reveg soon as we're clear of night frosts. Shame as she would have put on more weight but I got some pics to follow.

'Trinny' the Mazar clone is now star of the show :-) Shes got very tight internodal spacing and is free of mites, all been re treated again today with SMC, concentrating on underside of her leaf. day 1 of 12/12 today for her. Pics to come.

The 4 Snow White clones are bolt upright and a beautiful shade of green. I cant wait to see the first roots in a couple of weeks time.

Plan is simple..... 1 plant 'in' and 1 plant 'out' every 3 weeks :-) So its a 12 week cycle with 4 plants. The Ganja Box will be on constant 12/12 and the small veg box on 18/6 but with only 50 watts of 6500 in there! This cycle was inspired by V12's brilliant PC perpetual grow :-)

So, to keep this cycle rolling over I need to get plant number 2 going in there in 3 weeks time. I'm going to order some Blue Hash' feminised seeds and should be able to get one ready in time. So that will be a 3 strain perpetual underway.
