Hey guys
I wanna do a grow journal. Just received my beans wednesday and they went straight into water.Thursday went into solo cups with roots organics. Im runnin 5x qrazy train and 5x vortex. 4 vortex and 3qts have already popped the soil. Not sure if im gonna top them or fim them. Probably top because I like consistancy. Currently they're in the closet under a 2ft 4 bulb t5 ho. Flowering room is a 4x4 with a 600 watt ac hps 450cfm phat filter and 500 cfm valueline fan with speed controller. Ill add pics tommorow as well as let u guys know whats in my "master" soil.

Thanks for lookin

Ok so no pics yet but everything popped, 2 days ago I had to add water and a seedling came out where I didn't have it packed in enough but I think its recovering. If it makes it ill have all 10 germinated which is the best germ rate I've had from a breeder, thanks sub.

Soil mix is just like supersoil with some changes. Same cook time
2.5 lbs. Blood Meal 12-0-0
2.5 lbs. Bat Guano 0-12-1
2.5 lbs. Steamed Bone Meal 3-15-0
1.5 lbs Cal/Phos 20% Ca 20% Phosphate 0-5-0
1/2 Cup Pot Ash 0-0-50
1/2 Cup Epsom Salt -Magnesium Sulphate
1/2 Cup Dolomite-49% Calcium Carbonate 36% Magnesium Carbonate 1/2 Cup. Powdered Humic Acid
1 Cup Azomite (70+Trace Elements)
1 Cup Mycorrhizal

A fellow I got ahold of on a different forum had a thread explaining this soil and how its just like supersoil with some changes. He used to use supersoil but these are the changes he saw beneficial and had more sustainability.
I bought the amendments off ebay so I guess imma be a tester for this mix. I also added 25lbs of ewc and 4 bags of roots to that mix, just like subs.
lemme know what you think id like some feedback on this mix. Its cookin now should be done when the plants hit 3-4 weeks, where they will then go from solocups to 3 gallon smartpots with supersoil "master mix".

I think the potash will drop your PH down a good deal but I am interested in your results for sure.

I am pretty confident in my recipe though it keeps growing me buds that keep getting me published and pretty medicated too :)

So the one seed that came out and I replanted died. Unfortunate but im a novice and it happens. So I have 4strong qt seedligs and 5 strong vortex.

Something I wanna add is when I transplant ill be putting down 1/4cup myco right under my seedling in the 3 gallon to give it a boost. What?! A boost from something with no nutrient value! Damn right look up nutrient uptake. Ill he usong pumpkin pro myco cuz lets face it whats better than a 1500lb pumpkin?? A huge cannabis bush gets my vote. Although im runnig 9 now ill cut back to 4,5 gallons scroged out when I get my keepers.
Ill also be fertalizing with a ewc/molasses tea later on alternating tea and straight unchlorinated non phed water. (My tap ph is 7).

Hey sub I just read hardwood ashes raise soil ph, what makes you think itll lower the ph?? Its burnt brush from around my friends house in norcal.
I saw it was reccomended to raise ph just like the oyster shell you use to use.

So it was time to water today. I felt they could use a jumpstart so I gave em a small dose of bio root bio weed diamond black and myco maddness. They loved it. It was mostly humic acid myco alfalpha meal and liquid seaweed/kelp so I felt safe givin it to them even though they're a week old. I let my roots dry out so I felt they could use a boost of myco and soil conditioners. I also love the t5 it keeps my growth so compact with hardly any stretch. I have never had seedlings so short bit stout. Again thanks sub lol.

Thanks for lookin.

You may be able to send it to a lab and find out exactly what's up with it. As long as the mix is good there is no need to ph anything... You could always just do a tester plant on new batches of soil so you dont commit an entire crop to,,, if the tester plant turns out fine then your good to go :-) thats what I do.

I'm always interested to see results with organic soil or soil-less grows. I'll be watching for sure. It's hotter in the P department than I usually run, so I'm interested to see how it goes. Good luck!

Lol I interested too. I think this grow imma put all my faith in this batch of supersoil to find my keeper/s and then run a side by side next grow using these general organics bottles that are collecting dust vs my supersoil to see which excels taste wise. I also think next batch imma scale a few thigs down so I can add seaweed and alfalpha meal and possibly try a feather meal instead of blood meal.

Thanks everyone for stoppin by and weezer...nice leaf! Lol
And whodat. I hope to have a tuba like that in a few months!

i believe my soil began goin anerobic 2 weeks into cooking, the reason i believe this is cuz when i turned it today it reeked of amonia. i searched online and read sub saying thats the soil rotting and found advice to let it dry out and start cooking it again so I spread it out and its drying out a little bit, plants are still tiny seedlings about 1-3 in tall but most are wider than the cup. ill post pics tommorow for sure.

initially i added 3 gallons to 4 bags of soil, it was pretty wet, not soaking and muddy but beyond moist, when i poured out the 45gallon rubbermaid i had alot of condensation on the lid and about 1-4 cups of water stagnant at the bottom of the 45 gal

I'm about to make the switch over to Super Soil myself, so I'm curious to see your results. I'll keep checking in. Good luck!

I think allowing it to offgas and evapkrate that ammonia nitrate is working cuz the smell is much leess than earlier. I just spread it out on a tarp in the garage and 12hrs later piled it up the spread it out again so It will dry evenly and wont dry it out all the way. Tommorow im gonna put it back in the container unsealed and add1gallon of water + mycomaddness and lets it sit for another week or until I feel the rootball is bein too constricted in the 20oz cup. Wish me luck guys the moment of transplanting is nearing lmao.pics in the mornng finally!

I had the same issue when making my first batch of super soil. I had a lid on the trash can and none of the water could evaporate and no fresh air was in it.
I spread it out for a few days, like you did, let it dry some then put it back in the trash can with the lid partially on so it could breath. The plants from that soil did great.

lol awesome man, all i could smell today was the coco when i smelled the soil so i think im good and thanks for sharing your experience. i feel like ill probably have the same luck you did, at least i hope so, fingers crossed.
i think it was from the ambient humidity to high causing the water inside to condense and not evaporate. well this sat will be week 3 for the soil cooking so not this fri but next ill put the babys in their final resting place veggin 1-2 more weeks and then flip.
Theyre stretching a little more now finally gaining some height, and a considerable amount of vegetation daily.
peace guys

So its week 2 for the seedlings im transplantig saturday into 3 gallons with supersoil and topping them also. Then vegging 2-3 weeks more and flippin.

Awesome news, one of the qrazy trains popped out a 5 blades leaf after the single and not only that but the undersides of the leaves on that 1 are purple already at week 2. Temps have been 70-79 so im hopin it stays purple. Id love that bag appeal. Also more sativa would probably be trainwreck right?

In other news the vortexs all look better than most qts with a couple exeprions. I think the only reason they do is cuz the vortexs all have thicker leaves making them look larger. Well anyways ill take pics soon. Prob when I transplant. Or tommorow.
