Nice set-up MJnation. I'll stay tuned to see how your new vertical situation goes :D.. I use a squirrel cage style blower too, it works great. It's an ActiveAir 465CFM. A lot quieter than a Dayton and indeed pulls mad amounts of air.

Thanks for stopping by Howzer,
I have to agree with you on the squirrel cage fans, some of them do move insane ammounts of air and I do find them alot more silent also.

I use mine with a nice little speed control on my daystar reflector..This past round I was running 400w, I'm switching back up to the 600w this coming round. I've never used an ActiveAir brand but it was a great price for the blower based on it's performance. My dayton got old and tired so I dropped in on CL for $40. Now I'm glad I went with the different name..This one also has a 4" flange on the intake, which my dayton did not. So I can pull air. Much better for my cab.

600 Watters are way more effecient Howzer. More air is better..

Oh yea, this I know, I've been doing this for years :-). The 400w seemed like a good idea for this particular cab, but in retrospect I should have just went straight for the 600 from the beginning. And I've always been a double or nothing kind of guy when it comes to my ventilation. Grabbing a fan that's twice the capacity you'll need coupled with a speed control dialed down is much better than pushing the hell out of a fan that's just enough capacity.

takin an experamental route, and its werking VERY well. just COLD (ICE COLD) water with a a few drops of dawn dish soap for a spray, wet towels (even in the flowering room) dripping over bowls of water, room AC on 69 keepin the grow at a steady 73 (F) got them down to a minumun from an "almost infestation" FEEEEEEW!

Oh this is my FIRST bug problem too, and the last if i got anything to do with it! MUWAHAHAHA! :fire:

here are some updated pictures of the current grow, and some older pictures of some of my previously harvested buds from the 400 watt hps fridge grow..

I started flush on the big plants today with straight water. I have not used any Bloom Enhancers for any of these plants only advanced nutrients iguana juice grow and bloom

Next round I am going to change my Blooming Nutrients to something else.. I have no Ideas what yet though.

Maby I will just get the GH flora, micro, bloom nutes..

The people that I know using the GH do in fact get alot larger yields than I do using the advanced nutrients Iguana Juice grow and Bloom.

This could be due to the fact that Advanced Nutrients Iguana Juice is Organic.

I have heard one person after the other tell me that Organic crops always suffer from yield, but they always tell me that the flavour is top notch.

But I will say that I am not impressed at all by the way this crops yield is looking so far..
I hope they start swelling up soon.. they are in there final 2 weeks..

But they are rock hard and they smell sooo gooood.

Some buds from previous harvest(400 watt fridge grow).. No record yields set on this one, but it sure was really dense, tasty and man did it ever get me stoned..
