I'm going to remain skeptical about these wild west limits. Albeit @GrowRock , @TheRealDman You were right, thanks for the clarification. Until I see laws passed and provinces unveil their conditions. I would love for their to be no limit but I have much less faith in our government than y'all give them credit for to keep these promises.
how are they supposed to uphold a limit at a persons home.
Like they limit booze?
Next it'll be your VISA or Mastercard or American Express who will turn you in

SMH lol

Nothing to be skeptical about, those numbers are factually correct.

Yeah you can stockpile all the booze ya want in your house, smokes too. Gonna be hard justifying that one
FYI we aren't talking about stockpiling products purchased at stores. Since you used the example of tobacco the Government of Canada allows a person to produce up to 15kg of tobacco per year. So yes they do have limits to how much you can produce at home.

That makes no sense. It doesn't matter if you buy it in a store or grow it in your garden, possession is possession, . There is no limit on the amount of cannabis you can store at home. Every residence is entitled to 4 plants but there is no limit to the amount you can produce in a given year. Tobacco is an oddity in terms of cultivation limits but there is no possession or storage limit for tobacco.

Correct on the 15 kg of tobacco “cultivation” per year, but there are no storage limits. You could theoretically collect 15 kg of tobacco from all of your neighbors and store as much as you want.

No it is not an oddity, this is how our governments make money on controlled substances like alcohal and tobacco. They limit how much you can do yourself to force you to buy it from them. Why do you think marijuana will be any different?

A limit of what you can produce is what you can produce with four plants. For REC..what ever that may be...(:
Med folks have a set limit per gram as to what they can grow as well. My limit is 2300 grams..

Now with that said...

civil disobedience plays here LARGE...

There is no difference in what I can keep and what A rec person can keep a home and here s NOTHING they can do abot it! ;)

You can have as much alcohol at home...as you want.(: and can buy enough to kill a town..hands down! lol
No differecne you say...PPPHHHTTTT lol

go try and convince a monkey to stop eating Bananas ! ;)

No answers from the cheap not knowing seats as always! //lol

In Canada there is no current limit on wine or beer you make at home as long as it is for personal use.

Distilling is not allowed at home unless you have a permit or license to do so.
Like I said they limit what your allowed to do.

Sure, but not for everything. Cannabis falls into the not everything category. 4 plants is a limit, 30g in your pocket is a limit, but there is none for storage at your residence.

Nothing to be skeptical about, those numbers are factually correct. The senate is suggesting to remove the unlimited storage limits.

On the topic of the OP. CBC has and article on the matter with this quote:

"In addition, they recommended that 20 per cent of production licences for cannabis should be awarded to companies operating on land that is owned by Indigenous governments.". Pfft good luck with that. Based on what merits involving legalization exactly?
I've seen and tasted indigenous cigarettes before; like fuck you'd get me smoking any weed from the "res" if that is anything to go by. The only reason people smoke their tobacco is because it is addictive and cheaper than anywhere else. Also of much poorer quality, as I would expect the weed to be.

I was speaking about storage limits not production, thanks though
