are the dried and ground leaves of a male plant good as fertilizer for female plants? thanks.

No, it needs to be composted and broke down. It wouldn't even provide enough material to make a difference unless you grew 10 lbs of males.

Compost is ready when it is a brown powdery material that looks nothing like the plant detritus that you have added to it.

If you want something to do woth the males, then take pictures of you "torturing" them and post them up! Always good for a laugh.
