when are you able to know if it is a male or female?how can you tell if it is a male of female?

You are able to KNOW the plants sex after flowering has started. Males will usually show their sex first, and their flowers look like little bunches of grapes. Those are the pollen sacks, and will unzip to release the powder. Female flowers look like a seed pod, called a calyx, and have 2 white hairs sticking out the top.

Experienced growers can look at a plant that is still in vegetative growth and examine some tiny plant parts and get an idea of the sex, but even they can be fooled once flowering starts.

Yeah, flowering and budding are the same. The buds we like to smoke are the flowers of the female plant.

I don't know what you mean by the leafs, but the growth stage, or vegetative growth, or vegging, is when the plant is rooting and growing before flowering.

Just a quick heads up.. if you're growing your plants in a bunch, as soon as you realize you have a male plant, get it the hell outta there, if not it will pollenate the females .

Isn't that what you want to happen? I thought the females get pollinated and then bud. I'm new at this so if I'm wrong, how does it actually work. :blsmoke:
