ive put the lights witch are 4 fluro and they are putting 4400 lumers between them about 6 inches from the pots ( 3 pots) is that ok to get them started i was told if i put to much light to start with they will burn and die. the problem im having is they dont want to pop out of the soil the seeds are growing roots in the paper towels fine but as soon as i put them in the soil they wont sprout out but the few witch have popped out have been a dark brown colour and they look dead so i thrown them out do you think it is the lighting or do you think it is the soil witch ive got wrong do you think i might have put to many nutes in the soil thats why they are turning burn because the soil is burning the roots. thanks for the info sweetsmoker hope to here from you soon cheers

Newly planted MJ doesn't need any nutes, sounds like nute burn to me.
give them a few weeks until you start feeding them, also fresh sprouts should be planted in nute free soil. BioBizz light mix is a great starter soil.

Nice thread!
I might of missed it, but how much light is best to start off a LowRyder seed at seedling after transplant... 12/12 or 18/6?

Thanks in advance.

Also, Have you heard of attitude Seed Bank??? They have a number of Lowryder/Dwarf Seeds that Fem for purchase.

There really isn't any need to give autoflowering plants 12/12 of light.
I always give mine 20/4 throughout their life and have had great results.

Thanks REISS.
Would it be to much to give the Lowryder a full 24 hrs of light, and then switch to 20/4 at the beginning of flowering?

Nice pic of your Lowryder by the way... very inspiring!
Giving me something to hope for and look forward too!!!

Thanks again!

Almost all of the lowryder seed sites recommend 20/4 through out, so who are we to argue?
Stick to 20/4, plants need a little dark time I believe.

Heres my last LR2 grow - Second Lowryder2 grow

Good luck

I'm currently on my second grow of outdoor diesel ryder. I think that I have the plant dialed in a bit more. I have 5 plants all together outside 4 dr, and 1 bagseed from some regs. Congrats on your grow and harvest.
