Heres my one lowryder at about 70 days- started with 6- 5 males :-? was a great learning experience- done with cfl's- went out and got a jarden tent and a 400 watt hps cool tube - got 5 in the tent now- started 12/12 under t-5's flowering nice- anyway heres the pics of the lowryder

fair play she looks lovly its my first time aswell and ive choosen lowryder#2 dawrf ive been told its a good starter coz its a 100% flowering bud but im not sure how tall she will grow fingers crossed she might turn out like yours. nice photos :-)
 
hay guys im growing lowryder dwafs can any of you tell me the sizes how tall do they grow ive been told they only grow 10inches tall and bush out about 5inches is that true ive also been told they only take 8 weeks from seed to harvest. are they raelly that small please help cheers :0>

Mine got about 9 inches and was all Bud maybe 1/2 ounce per plant. I have seen many grows where they got bigger, like up to 2ft. I think alot has to due with your lighting and heat. CFL grows tend to be talleras they stretch for the light. I postulate that the more intense the light, the shorter they are, but mine may have been short due to heat issues as well(85-87F). They received 24,000 lumens in a very small space. My next grow is going to be CFL for 4 weeks then add the 150watt HPS with T5 side lighting and solve the heat issue by making a remote ballast for the HPS.Temps should be in the 70's.

I can relate to your pain. I had 1 out of 5 turn out to be females. I saved a male to make seeds and harvested about 200 seeds so I am now set. My next grow will be 15 seedlings in one big pot. I will pluck the males as they are identified. And the answer is no for any people who want some seeds. They will all be put to good use.
 
thanks ive got 10 seeds so im hoping to get at least 3 ladies ive just put the split seeds in to a good medium i just hope the dont all turn oout to be male.ive got a prity good light setup will that mean the buds will be more compact and shorter or will they grow taller. thanks for the info
 
these are very strange plants- i have 2 going right now- ones about a foot high the others maybe 5 inches- both full of buds- go figure

i have 8 lowryder seeds under a 250 hps they are all about 4 inches and have 6 leaves they are in a rockwool medium and i have only used 12 inch pots to try and ensure they stay short and manageable. fingers crossed and i guess well see how many are females soon,, i assumed that the light had to be at 18/6 for lowryders as they autofloer so i thought that more light the better, but looking at pibills crop under 12/12 i may reconsider as eleccy would be cheaper and obviously the crop is still fat.:) any views anyone

I didnt make that very clear- the one you see way done at basiclly 14/10 the new crops in with an afgahn kush and 4 hazexnl crosses, so i have to do it at 12/12 - i honestly think they'll do just as good at 12/12, just make tke a week or so longer- if you use a hps it should be fine at 12/12

im having a bit of a hard time with my seeds ive planted 3 seeds witch i germenated on a papertowel the seeds split and the root came out so i put them in my soil 3 days ago and nothing has sprooted out of the soil its my first time with these seeds how long should it take to sprout. any body got any help please it will be very welcome. cheers
 
Make sure the soil is moist, not wet. I cover my cups with a clear plastic sandwich bag, it acts as a greenhouse sort of, and i usually see the sprout in 2-5 days. Do Not water the soil once the cracked seed is in there- everytime i've donde this i've fucked everthing up. Just make sure the soils moist and if its not try misting it. Hope they sprout for ya- and ya get 3 females!!!

cheers pitbill you were right i think ive fucked mine up with too much water the seed has poped up out of the soil but its not growing straight up its bending to the left and one side is brown and the other side is green the other two seeds havent poped out yet. do you think my first one is fucked and i should try another seed or wait a couple of days and see if it sorts it self out. cheers thanks for the help
 
Give them time- sometimes they sprout up 7-9 days. there is no exact science to this, they grow the way they want to. One thing i also learned with lowryder was that they really dont like any strong nutes. I used bat guano and liquid karma, and that was it and as you can see, she turned out just fine. One thing i have learned about growing is....smoke a nice bowl and chill, let the plants do all the work...BTW, the smoke from the lowryder is real nice...body buzz, nice for pain relief...

ok cheers ill just let the ladys grow but the one that started to turn brown was dead when i whent to look this morning im going to buy new soil i think and im not going to water them because last time i put lots of water in the soil because i thourt it would help them grow you can tell its my first time, cheers
 
make sure u properly cure them.the smoke is breathtakingly smooth and flavorable.kinda like drpeper taste with a piney foresty sent to them.i just harvested mine over a week ago,and sampled the bud,but still to be "just picked" it is pretty potent,and only time will bring out the hidden qualities.
 
i think im gonna leave it one more week at 18/6 then switch, getting exited its amazing how quick they grow, everytime i come home theres something else happening :) and they smell already, i will only feed 1/4 nutes thanx for the input u lot.. and gd luck im buzzin already lol
one more thing is that i read on another thread that the flowering is genetic and so 12/12 may not enduce flowering any quicker ,, kinda makes sense wat u think?
 
i dont know wot im doing wrong ive bort decent seeds ive bort lowryder dwarf #2 they split open and a root comes out within 2 days of putting them in wet kitching papertowels then i put the split seeds in the soil but they dont want to sprout out of the soil. its been a week since ive put them in the soil but ive had no results. ive coverd the pots with a clear plastic bag to stop the water drying out i havent put them under the lights yet i just leave them in a warm place waiting to sprout out of the soil. should i be kepping them under the lights before a see a sprout come out of the soil will it speed up the time it takes to pop up out or shoiuld i wait till the sprout has come out then put them under lights. please help ive shelled out lots on the seeds but none of them are poping up out of the soil help very welcome cheers
